  • Capstone project

Find 5 peer reviewed articles about your capstone project. Write a literature review. Please follow the assignment rubric A literature review is not an annotated bibliography in which you summarize briefly each article that you have reviewed. While a summary of what you have read is contained within the literature review, it goes well beyond merely summarizing professional literature. It focuses on a specific topic of interest and includes your critical analysis of the relationship among different works, and relating this research to your work. In this case, your work will be your capstone project. It may be written as a stand-alone paper or to provide a theoretical framework and rationale for a research study (such as a thesis or dissertation). Your literature review will be written as a standalone paper.

  • Spreadsheets Software for Data Response to Abigayle

Knowing how to create and use spreadsheets is among the most in-demand skills for employees today. Whether you are an accountant, a biologist, a meteorologist, or a marketing professional, your work will inevitably involve using spreadsheets to some degree.

Respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words:

    • Share your experience with using spreadsheet software like Excel or Google Sheets to work with any type of data.
    • What is your current job? How does spreadsheet software support your tasks?
    • Share 12 tips or tricks for using Excel and explain how they have helped streamline or improve your work. What tasks did you learn this week that can create efficiencies in your current job or the job you want? Be specific.
    • If you dont have a lot of experience with Excel or Google Sheets, based on what was covered in the Week 3 materials, how can learning to use spreadsheet software help you with your specific personal and career goals? What tasks did you learn this week that can create efficiencies in your personal life, your current job, or the job you want? Be specific.

Need a response to Abigayle wrote

I have personally never used Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets before in any form of work environment or schooling, so I learned a lot from this week’s lessons and exam.

I am a corporate trainer/ bartender for a brunch company, so my job is not very computer-based as I train people on how to serve and bartend to our company’s standards; however, I do work with a lot of higher-ups and franchise owners who use the likes of Excel to track store numbers, inventory, and payroll. Although I personally don’t use it, I know it brings a lot of organization to those in the company who do, so they are able to see numbers clearly and track weekly, monthly, and yearly progressions within the company, over specific products.

Even though Excel doesn’t benefit my line of work, some skills that I learned this week that would make my life easier if I did need to use it would be, converting data into a chart or graph, and being able to convert numbers and data from one cell to another by clicking on the cell and typing = (Specific cell letter & number). Being able to see my data visually in a graph really helps me as a visual, hands-on learner, and then finding any way to make life easier on Excel is something I appreciate, so I liked learning about the formulas you can use to do so. These skills would increase my online organization and computer skills, as I could finally add the use of Excel to my work resume. I felt that I would get looked over a lot during job interviews because I lacked knowledge in the Microsoft world, but hopefully, after this class and continuing to practice, I will become more confident in talking about using these skills career-wise.
