    Texts make a kind of shared knowledge. There is an authors intended meaning and a readers interpretive meaning. In reading Chapter 1 of Hirschs book, it is easy to see that meaning even for the author can change. Chapter 2 gives way to meaning and implication and a discussion on a critics objective, namely that those attempting to uncover the authors meaning in a text may learn something, but those seeking only their own meanings will learn nothing new.

    Human Services Professionals serve many populations (e.g., children, elderly, those experiencing mental illness) served by Human Services Professionals and continuously work to improve the services they provide to these populations.
