    This assignment is a cause-and-effect essay about social media addiction. It must be at least 600 words long and contain exactly five paragraphs: one introduction, three body paragraphs, and one conclusion.

    In the introduction, the topic is presented, and at the end of the paragraph, the thesis statement is written. The thesis must include three causes of social media addiction, and it must be the same one used in the outline and the annotated bibliography, which were adjusted to match this topic. These three causes will be developed in the three body paragraphs.

    Each of the three body paragraphs must explain a different cause (for example: excessive screen time, lack of parental supervision, and the need for social validation) and must include at least one in-text citation from academic sources such as ProQuest or Google Scholar.

    The essay must follow APA 7 format (Times New Roman, 12-point font, double spacing) and use headings: a centered bold title (Level 1) for the main topic and bold, left-aligned subtitles (Level 2) for each cause.

    At the end, a separate References page must be included with at least three academic sources, the same ones used in the Annotated Bibliography.

    Lists, tables, graphs, and copying text generated by artificial intelligence are not allowed. The paper must be uploaded as a file using the paperclip icon, not as a link. If the topic is changed, citations are missing, or APA format is not followed, many points will be lost or the student may receive a zero.
