  • Management Question

The purpose of this assessment is to deepen understanding of how specific communication behaviors emerge during conflict and influence its resolution. Learners will analyze their impact on interpersonal interactions and explore alternative communication strategies that can lead to more effective conflict management and resolution.

    Instructions:

Effective conflict management and resolution requires an understanding of the communication behaviors that typically emerge in tense situations. In this assessment, you will explore the common communication behaviors observed during conflict, reflect on how these behaviors impact the resolution of the conflict and explore alternative communication strategies.

Begin by researching and defining at least three of the communication behaviors that typically emerge during conflicts (apologies, excuses, refusals, etc.). Create an infographic that visually represents the communication behavior you researched. Your infographic should include:

    1. The name of each behavior.
    2. A visual representation of how each behavior manifests during conflict (icons, symbols, or illustrations).
    3. Examples of each behavior in a conflict scenario.
    4. Strategies for overcoming or improving communication when each behavior is observed (e.g. If “avoidance” is present, show a strategy such as “active listening”).

    Notes:

    1. Use for Infograph templates and save it as PDF
    2. If you got references you can add it on another infographic template so they are together
    3. Please refer to the infographic assignment rubric on the Start Here tab for this assignment.
    4. Please follow APA Style 7th Edition for this assignment.
    5. Please refer to the AI guidelines outlined in the syllabus.
    6. AI Guidelines: Artificial Intelligence (AI) Guidelines for this Course: Full AI Use: Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and software may be used in this course for assignments and projects if the AI is used ethically and cited correctly. Students must credit any AI tool that helped them with their work. It is the students responsibility to verify any information from AI tools. If AI use is suspected without proper attribution in submitted work, the faculty member will communicate with the student. The goal of this communication will be to identify the student’s intentions, provide guidance on adhering to the policy, and support the student’s learning and improvement. This approach ensures fairness and protects both the student and faculty member from potential misunderstandings or unjust accusations. If a student uses AI in an unauthorized manner, the behavior may be considered academic misconduct.

    Scenario for Analysis: Immigration

Each day, there are numerous crossings at the Texas (US/Mexico) border. Individuals come from various countries, including Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Venezuela, China, India, the Philippines, Vietnam, Cuba, Korea, and others. Reasons for crossing include seeking economic opportunities, reuniting with family members, seeking safety from threats or persecution, or experiencing life in another country. In some cases, individuals engage in activities that are against the law, such as drug trafficking or human trafficking.

Entering the United States without official authorization or documentation is considered a violation of immigration law. Many individuals take this risk because they believe the potential benefits, such as safety or better opportunities for themselves and their families, outweigh the potential consequences.

  • Nursing Question

Need help doing my part for a health policy paper. My part is:

    – Evidenced-based literature review and documents 10% (Natalie)

    • Use evidenced-based documents, journals, legislation as the data sources for your paper.

    Base it on this:

    Health Policy Concern

Prior authorization (PA) is a process that requires healthcare providers to obtain approval from health insurance companies before they can prescribe specific medication, treatment, or diagnostic tests for their patients. The purpose of PA is to prevent unnecessary medical spending and ensure the treatment and medication ordered for patients are clinically needed. In the real clinical setting PA, delays care, worsens patient outcomes, and has created provider burnout across all specialities and practice settings. For Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs) in Florida this burden directly delays chronic disease management, medicine regimen, and diverts clinical time away from direct patient care. The purpose of this paper is to address PA as a critical health policy concern and argues that its process is no longer acceptable and requires a systemic reform. The way PA is currently set up it is not protecting patients but failing them.

A survey in 2024 of 1,000 physicians conducted by the American Medical Association (AMA) found that providers complete an average of 39 PA requests every week, spending approximately 13 hours on administrative tasks that have nothing to do with treating patients (AMA, 2024). ..
