  • Between-Subjects and Within-Subjects Designs

In this assignment, you will create and analyze a research study using two types of experimental designs: between-subjects and within-subjects. First, you must choose your research topic, population, independent variable (IV), and dependent variable (DV). Then, you will use an AI tool to generate a between-subjects experiment based on those elements and copy the entire conversation into your document without editing it. After that, you will redesign the same study as a within-subjects experiment on your own, clearly explaining what each participant will do and when. Next, you will answer four analysis questions, explaining the changes you made, identifying possible order or carry-over effects, discussing whether counterbalancing is appropriate, and comparing the advantages and disadvantages of both designs. Finally, you will organize everything into one document with the required sections and submit it as a Word or PDF file, following all formatting rules.

  • Evaluation & Summary of Implementation Progress

Part 6 incorporates all aspects from previous assignments focused on faculty advisor and peer evaluations and ongoing assessment of the improvement process. By now, you are likely 10-12 weeks into your project implementation (some of you may be wrapping up). This final assignment will provide the information and feedback to complete the draft of your Results Section of the Project Paper. You will consider your measures (metrics) and processes, incorporating qualitative and quantitative data throughout the implementation of the project plan. The data collected indicates a 20% increase in patientsatisfaction. Before implementation, patient satisfaction was at 54% and is nowat 74%. The ED has welcomed the project and will continue to use it as part ofthe plan of care. For data collection, I am using Excel.
