Evaluate Your HR Management System
Pick an organization with which you are personally familiar, either from your experience as an employee or a volunteer. Assess that organization from an HR perspective. Discuss what they are doing well and what area(s) could use some improvement. You may use the questions attached in the “evaluate your HR” file, although it is not required.
Note: Paper should be between 3-5 pages and should be written and formatted in APA Style, with a title page and all references cited.
I did sit down with my HR rep and here are the scoring from the 10 question that can be used to help write the paper. (Evaluate your HR)
#1&2 scored 8. #3&4 scored 9. #5&6 scored 8. #7 scored 9. #8-10 scored 8
Question 4: each department does it own hiring and selection, while HR does all of onboarding for the entire school
Something the HR dep is doing well: assisting in helping all employees and that they will return to new hiring orientation in July
Improvements: more help from IT on campus and from OneUSG (the system where time and benefits is managed). also the possiablility of removing the few payroll functions that they have to do.
