You must reflect on your own results from:

    • Big Five Personality Test
    • Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
    • Work Values Exercise

All results must be included in the Appendix.

    1.** Fit Analysis**

    • ONE personality dimension ONLY from Big Five OR Myers-Briggs test results

    AND

    • You must be specific (name the exact O*NET skill, task, or requirement)
    • Explanations must be supported using pre-class readings

Part 2: The Impact of AI on Your Dream Job

Identify ONE significant change or challenge affecting your dream job that is being driven by artificial intelligence (AI).

    You must:

    • Select at least ONE recent news article or industry report that discusses how AI is:

      • Creating new challenges, ethical concerns, expectations in your dream job

      • What is changing in the role due to AI

Your analysis should go beyond summarizing the article and focus on application and interpretation.

Part 3: Responding to AI-Driven Change

You must now explain how your personality traits and/or values allow you to positively align with or adapt to the AI-driven change identified in Part 2.

Note: this is the ONLY place you can use External sources (news articles, professional articles) to support your discussion.

    You must:

    • Explain:
      • How this trait or value helps you respond effectively to AI-related changes in your dream job,

      • The AI-driven change you identified
      • Relevant O*NET job requirements

Your response should demonstrate self-awareness, behavioral insight, and forward-looking thinking.

    Note:

    • The focus is not on whether AI is good or bad
    • The focus is on:
      • How AI is changing your dream job
      • How you, as an individual, can remain effective and valuable

Generic discussions of AI without job specific links will be marked down.

    Part 4: Visual Summary

Pre-class readings should be used to:

  • Explain why certain personality traits support job performance Explain why certain personality traits help you adjust to AI driven change Justify why values matter for motivation, commitment, and fit Explain how individuals actively interpret and respond to changes in their work roles
  • Simply naming authors/readings without explanation will lower your grade.

Outside sources can only be used for identifying how AI is changing your dream job/ industry

    • Not clearly linking traits/values to specific O*NET requirements
    • Using outside sources for anything except how AI is changing your job/job industry

Hardware and Software with Input and Output Devices

    Hardware

Hardware refers to the physical components of a computer system that can be seen and touched. Hardware devices are mainly divided into Input devices and Output devices.

    Input Devices:

Input devices are used to enter data and instructions into the computer. Common input devices include:

    Keyboard

    Mouse

    Scanner

    Microphone

    Webcam

These devices help users give commands and data to the computer system.

    Output Devices:

Output devices are used to display the results processed by the computer. Common output devices include:

    Monitor

    Printer

    Speakers

    Headphones

    Projector

These devices show or play the final output in the form of text, images, sound, or video.

    Software

Software refers to the programs and applications that tell the hardware what to do. Software cannot be touched, but it controls all computer operations.

Software works with both input and output devices. Input devices provide data to the software, the software processes the data, and output devices present the results to the user.

    Examples of Software:

    Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)

Application Software (MS Word, Excel, Browser)

    Utility Software (Antivirus, File Manager)

Relationship Between Hardware, Software, Input, and Output

Hardware and software work together to perform tasks. Input devices send data to the computer, software processes that data, and output devices display the processed information. Without hardware, software cannot run, and without software, hardware cannot function properly.
