Based on the case information you were given, reading from your text and your review of relevant literature answer the following questions:

1. Describe the pathophysiology of coronary artery disease (CAD) and plaque rupture. This description should be concise and no longer than two pages typed.

2. Explain how hypertension (HTN), dyslipidemia, and tobacco use lead to the development of coronary artery disease.

3. Provide a 4-6 sentence explanation on how the three following diagnosis/disease processes are different:

• Stable angina
• Unstable angina
• Non ST elevation MI (NSTEMI).

4. Identify the incidence and prevalence of CAD in the U.S. and Canada.

5. Discuss the importance of outpatient recognition and cardiology referral as it relates to the treatment of CAD.

6. Identify four risk factors documented in this patients case that lead to or are risk factors for the development of CAD.

7. Identify history, exam, and diagnostic findings that support a diagnosis of CAD. Please separate each finding into the correct category (ex: History: complains of chest pressure; Exam: xxxxx; Diagnostic findings: xxxx).

Instructions:

• The case studies should be 8-10 pages in length (not including the title page and references).
• The writing should reflect graduate level course work and follow APA 7 format including an appropriate title page and references.
• The case study should be well organized using specific headings, proper grammar, syntax, and terminology.
• You can use the seven questions as a guide to formulate the headings within the paper. For each questions answered there should be a different heading. For example: Pathophysiology of CAD; How HTN, dyslipidemia and tobacco use leads to the development of CAD. There are seven questions so you should have seven headings within the paper.
• The case study must be typed in a Word document.
• It is expected that you review current evidence-based treatment guidelines and relevant research specific to the disease process to answer each of the seven questions related to this case study. These sources should be updated with in the last 5 years.
• In addition to your text, the student must use at least three (3) peer-reviewed research articles from journal sources that are less than 5 years old

• Assessing trauma history can, in and of itself, be traumatic for the patient. What strategies can providers implement to minimize re-traumatization? Provide at least 2 strategies with evidence-based support and practical implementation strategies.

• In your opinion, is it necessary to have a patient detail traumatic experiences if you are not completing psychotherapy and only prescribing medication for symptom management? Support your response.

• Discuss age-related changes, 2-3 common disorders with symptoms, risk factors, treatments, nursing actions, and any preventive measures.

We learned a lot about anatomy and physiology of digestive and reproductive systems along with metabolism, fluid dynamics, and genetics in this session. Address one of the following topics for your initial post.

Concept Map Assignment Instructions Levels 2 and 3 Concept maps allow you to organize and display key information in a way that you can see how information is connected and interrelated. Instructions: 2. Choose a client that aligns with your chosen concept. 3. Complete the client information section and the topic of the map. a. Use SBAR format for the client information. What is a hypothesis? i. A hypothesis is a proposed explanation made on the basis of available information. It is a starting point to problem-solving. Recognize cues: Based on available client data, identify relevant or important cues or information. Subjective and objective could be considered. Specific client values are included where appropriate (i.e. heart rate, oxygen saturation, etc). Analyze cues: Link identified cues to the clients presentation. Determine conditions that are consistent with those cues. A condition is defined as a normal state with regard to one’s health, such as pregnancy, or to a disease, disorder, illness, or injury (National Institutes of Health, n.d.). Prioritize hypotheses: Think Where do I start? Based on your analysis of the clients condition, determine which explanations are most likely. List and rank hypotheses according to most urgent problems and priority order. Generate solutions: Using the hypothesis, identify desirable outcomes for the client. Goals are listed in SMART format. In SMART format, goals are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound. Visit the ELO for more information. Here is an example of a SMART goal: The patient will report a pain level of 4 or less on a 0-10 scale within 30 minutes of pain medication administration. Take action: Using the identified SMART goals, identify and describe how nursing interventions will be performed, administered, communicated, or taught. Interventions will address the priority concerns and are designed to help meet the clients goals. Intervention #1 should be crafted to help meet SMART goal #1. Evaluate outcomes: Compare observed outcomes against expected outcomes. Determine if your identified interventions were effective. Be sure that these evaluative statements are in past tense, as you are seeing how the interventions progressed. This should look like “The (goal was achieved) by (time specified) as evidenced by (supporting findings) after (nursing intervention was performed).” You are evaluating if Goal #1 was accomplished by Intervention #1 by the time frame specified. *To reiterate: SMART goal #1, Intervention #1, and Evaluation #1 should all be related. This should be repeated for all goals and their associated interventions and outcomes. 5. Give credit to your sources. a. After completing your concept map, be sure to give credit to your sources on both the Reference page and as in-text citations.. b. Your references should be listed in APA 7th edition format. i.
