Please use the pointers and structure of the essay(highlighted in yellow) to do the assignment. Please ensure you stick to the word limit of 2750 words and provide me with the plagiarism and AI report from turnitin at the end of the submission.

    Question (100%)

A premise in liberal feminism is the significance of legal and political reform for achieving gender equality. Many countries have legal frameworks in place to address gender-based violence, sexual harassment, labour abuses, marital rape, gender stereotyping, and other forms of discrimination commonly faced by women. However, some countries still lack a comprehensive gender equality bill (e.g., Malaysia). Critically analyse the importance and implications of a gender equality bill, using examples from Singapore and Japan

  • Sociology Question

The midterm reflection is a 2-3 page paper that should address all of the following:

    • Which category of social problems did you find most engaging, interesting, or challenging?
    • How can you use information about 2 specific categories of social problems that are discussed in the chapters so far to understand your daily life?
    • What are things you learned about solving social problems from the Town Hall simulations?
    • Overall, what have you discovered about issues that we deem social problems?

You need to address each these topics in the paper.

  • Sociology paper

Your second writing assignment is a short paper (2-4 pages) on subcultures vs. countercultures. In this paper you will introduce the reader to the sociological concepts of culture, subcultures, and countercultures. Then you will demonstrate your understanding of these terms by applying them to an example of a subculture or counterculture group.

    Constructing your paper

    • Introduce your paper by providing a very brief definition of culture and its relevance to sociology. (2-3 sentences)
    • Define and explain the terms subculture and counterculture. (1 paragraph)
    • Select and introduce one example of a specific subculture or counterculture. A list is provided of possible groups at the end of the instructions. (1 page)
    • Identify the subculture or counterculture you have selected.
    • Provide a brief historical review of that subculture or counterculture over time.
    • Explain the unique elements of that subculture or counterculture. This might be anything from the group’s motto to their style of dress to their behaviors. Your focus should be on the things that make them different.
    • Decide if the group should be considered a subculture or a counterculture. Explain why you chose that position. There is no right or wrong answer to this part. Your goal here is to demonstrate your ability to apply those terms in a logical real-world analysis. (2 paragraphs)

Note: I do not expect an exhaustive analysis of these broad social issues. Your goal is to introduce the topics and demonstrate your ability to apply sociological terms and concepts to a real-world issue. You should be concise and focused!

  • American Family and Kinship Structures Analysis

Use T. Parsons analytical framework for describing and analyzing the American Family to compare and contrast todays effective kinship unit (its role structure, relationship to broader kinship structures, other institutions and institutional spheres, cultural patterns, etc.) to the effective kinship unit Parsons described and analyzed in the 1940s and 1950s. What are the contributions of contemporary families (qua effective kinship units) to meeting the functional requirements of todays adults and minor children, and of non-family institutions in which todays adults and minor children participate (at their current or later stage of their life-cycle)? If those functional requirements are no longer primarily or exclusively met by, and in, families, how are they met and to what extent are they met?
  • Subjective Objective Approach

The finished paper (excluding the student response) will be a minimum of one full page (single-spaced, size 12 font) in length (approximately 500 words) and posted on the Canvas course site.

The final aspect to the course will consist of a written assignment that is both Subjective and Objective in Approach (S.O.A.). The following instructions for the written assignment paper are designed to maximize your learning by having the student apply theory and concepts that you are currently studying.

This written assignment (approximately six to seven pages in length) will contain (3) sections of

approximately (2) pages in length (and shall be labeled as such):

    (1) Subjective: describing your relationship to the social problem (what was / is your

experience with the social problem?). Be sure to describe, in detail, your experience of

the social problem from a subjective approach. Note that no identifying markers of

subjects involved shall be presented (names, addresses, etc.) when describing the social

    problem.

    (2) Objective: researching the social problem topic that you have chosen. The student

must cite a minimum of two different (excluding the Henslin textbook) academic

articles or publications (references may include the Henslin textbook. All references must

be listed on a References page. APA style of writing isencouraged, but any standard

    form is acceptable.

    (3) Approach: analyzing (or approaching) the Subjective via the Objective. The final two

pages will consist of applying theory and / or concepts to your experience of the social

problem. It is essential that you apply the various theories / concepts presented in the

course. In short, do theories / concepts help to explain the social problem / deviant

activity that you have experienced. If so, in what way(s)? If not, in what way(s)?

Topic: the (S.O.A.) paper topic must be a social problem, keeping in mind that the student

must have personal (subjective) experience with the social problem being approached (e.g.

drug use, theft, academic dishonesty, pornography, incarceration, prostitution, racism,

    alcoholism, ageism).

Due Date Sunday, March 8, 2026 – midnight.

The (S.O.A.) assignment should be submitted to Turnitin (Drop box) under the Modules tab

    as an attachment.

Grading: The Subjective-Objective Approach assignment (S.O.A.) will be graded on the

    following rubric:

    1. subjective presentation (description of social problem)

    2. objective presentation (research of social problem)

    3. approach presentation (utilization of sociological terminology / theory)

    4. appropriateness of references

A total of (200) possible points may be attributed to the S.O.A. paper requirement.

  • 7. Case Study

Your goal in this assignment is to develop a case study utilizing scholarly resources and the theories presented in the unit. This will help you develop a deeper understanding of the practical applications of the theories discussed throughout our course and encourage critical thinking.

Your submission should be at least three pages in length but no more than four, not counting the title page (if used) and a references page.

A minimum of three peer-reviewed or academic resources are required, one of which must be found in the CSU Online Library. APA formatting should be used for citations and references. Please note that wikis and blogs are not acceptable resources.

    Advocate for Social Change

For this assignment, you will conduct internet research about a significant person who was, or is, an advocate for social change. Choose a person who has had an impact on promoting positive social change whether through philanthropy, civil rights, teaching, or lifestyle. * Madam C.J. Walker

Answer these questions in your discussion.

    1. Introduce the person. Discuss what led them to become an advocate.
    2. Discuss which of the sociological views (i.e., conflict, interactionism, or functionalism) help to explain the type of inequality being addressed by the advocate.
    3. Did their advocacy invoke a change and or influence others? Discuss why, or why not.
    4. What lessons do you believe we can take away from this person and apply today?

Make certain that your lessons include discussion about central equality issues today, including economic inequality and social mobility. Conclude the study with your thoughts about how your subject’s experience relates to the concept of the “American Dream”, or a similar thought regarding social structures in the region where they are from.

    extra from the teacher:

    Greetings class,

This week’s assignment includes developing a case study utilizing scholarly resources and the theories presented in the unit. This will help you develop a deeper understanding of the practical applications of the theories discussed throughout our course and encourage critical thinking. As the study of social relationships and systems, sociology has many theories that can help us to better understand and interact with the world around us. That includes competing theories that are attempting to explain the same phenomena, as well as theories that cover an incredibly diverse range of different social systems and issues.

Fully appreciating some of the most popular theories in sociology often requires you to understand many other theories as a point of reference. But exploring a few examples of sociological theory can better provide a sense of the range of ideas explored by sociology, as well as prepare you for exploring some of its more complicated ideas in-depth.

I have included videos that give more information regarding social identity.
