  • Discussion

Feminist Connections: Chapter 2 (pgs. 40-57)

    Initial Post

Craft one well-developed post of at least 200+ words in response to the assigned readings.

While constructing posts consider your impression of the material. What are your thoughts on the information in the readings? Expand on the readings and critically analyze them in relation to the current cultural structures in our society and contemporary issues. Consider how the subject of the readings intersects with womens studies and/or history and how the readings impact your understanding. Initial posts should strive to start a scholarly discussion on the reading.

  • Discussion 4

    Chapter 6: Inequality: Masculinities

To complete a week’s discussion you must post:

    1. A list of at least three observations about the readings in one (1) posting and respond to one (1) other classmates posting.
    2. Identify major insights or points made in the readings
    3. Identify criticisms or alternative interpretations.
    4. Identify questions about meanings or inferences made in the readings

The length of the postings should be sufficient in depth to convey the analytical point you want to make. You should not be writing an essay but make sure your posting is sufficient for others to understand. I would recommend 225-250 words for your initial posting and your response to others to be between 175-200 words. However these are just suggestions and if you need more length that is fine as well, but be sure to not become redundant and repetitive. To be able to post an entry you must read the assigned weekly readings.

Within this topic, explore how to leverage technology to make learning exciting, meaningful, and relevant, while also analyzing what works best in different educational contexts.

For this assignment, you will use the “Classroom Engagement” template to design a technology-enhanced plan that outlines strategies to boost student engagement in both online and in-person settings. Note: Carefully review the topic Resources to ensure a clear understanding of how learning objectives are created. Consider the resources that address backward design as this strategy can help get a plan started.

Support your findings with 3-5 credible resources.

While APA Style format is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and in-text citations and references should be presented using APA documentation guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.

I have attached 4 reading materials from the course which you must incorporate within the short essay. I’ve also attached a previous short essay that I’ve written on a seperate topic for this course to give you an idea of what my voice sounds like, so that the professor doesn’t see a major difference in the way we write. Try your best to match my voice and use statements like “I’, “me” “I believe”, etc to ensure that it really has a personal human feel to it rather than just explanatory based. Also, remember that this a Sociology of Deviance Upper Division Course at the UC level, so please address the prompt in a sociological perspective using the necessary materials based on this context.
