Complete in your own words. It will be run through a plagiarism checker. Thanks.

Management liked your teams presentation about expanding the organization to your recommended country and would like to learn more about identified issues with that country.

Using your resources and recommendation from Week 3(attached), identify 3 human resource considerations with your selected country, such as labor laws and safety. Provide a recommendation for dealing with the identified issues. For each identified issue, include the following:

    • A description of the issue
    • An explanation of why that issue could arise if Southwest were to expand into the chosen country
    • A recommended strategy for dealing with the issue, including enough detail that specific tactical actions could be developed

Create a 10- to 12-slide presentation on your expansion recommendation along with potential issues for the Southwest Board of Directors. Include speaker notes detailed enough so a colleague can give the presentation without previous knowledge.

    Cite all sources.

Format your citations according to APA guidelines.

Imagine you are the HR Director for an organization that is planning to do business in one of the countries listed in Table 15.2 of your textbook(Japan….See my reasons for Japan below in bold)

Respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words:

    • Which of those countries fascinates you the most, and why?
    • According to the information in that table, what are the key cultural differences between the United States and the country you chose? In that other country, how effective do you think each of the following practices will be, and why?
    • Extensive assessment of individual abilities for selection
    • Individually based appraisal systems
    • Suggestion systems
    • Self-managing work teams
    • *********My reasons for Japan are below**************************************************

Table 15.2 to prepare our organization for global expansion, Japan would fascinate me the most because of the deep interplay between culture, work ethic, and organizational behavior.

Japans business environment is shaped by a unique blend of tradition and modernity. What captures my attention most is the collectivist mindset that influences everything from decisionmaking to conflict resolution. In Japan, harmony (wa) is not just a cultural valueits a guiding principle for workplace interactions. As an HR leader, this would require rethinking how we approach leadership development, communication styles, and performance management. For example, Western-style direct feedback might be perceived as confrontational, so coaching managers on more indirect, relationshipcentered communication would be essential.

Another fascinating aspect is Japans emphasis on long-term employment relationships. Loyalty between employer and employee is traditionally strong, and job-hopping is far less common than in the United States. This would influence how we design retention strategies, career pathways, and onboarding programs.

Finally, Japans commitment to precision, quality, and continuous improvement (kaizen) aligns well with organizations that value operational excellence. Integrating these principles into our HR practices could elevate our global standards.

  • WEEK 6 Healthcare Informatics Discussion

    Discussion Topic

Read and follow the instructions, check guidelines and find the attached rubric, Chapter 24, Powerpoint

Refer to Chapter 24 for this week’s Discussion Question

    Case Discussion:

You are a nursing educator within a large academic medical center responsible for the annual competency evaluation of nurses within the hospital and clinics. The senior vice president for quality and safety, the chief information officer, and the chief nursing information officer requested a meeting to discuss identified issues related to the electronic health record (EHR) documentation and patient safety issues regarding medication orders, management of the orders within the EHR, and administration of the medications.

Events involving patient safety are increasing, and the senior executives believe that this is largely an issue related to competency in using the new EHR (implemented in the past 2 years). They have asked you to recommend a training and competency evaluation strategy that might affect these measures of patient safety and improve competencies related to the documentation errors they are seeing. They are taking responsibility for monitoring the progress on impact and are asking you to come back with recommendations for the education program.

After meeting with your chief nursing officer, education department staff, directors of nursing on the units, and the staff nurses, all parties agree that it would be helpful to have a training program for the EHR that simulates clinical workflow on some of the common issues concerning medication errors.

You and your department are responsible for the simulation center, and the following are questions for your team to consider as you design a plan for the implementation of the EHR in the simulation lab:

    1. What strategies will you use to fully implement the practice domain that replicates the EHR production domain with which nurses are currently working? Explain your answers with best practices and scholarly support.

    2. How will you identify cases related to the patient safety events that are occurring and incorporate them into the EHR to simulate what is happening and allow nurses time to practice on workflow and documentation related to these events? Explain your answers with best practices and scholarly support.

    3. How will you evaluate the nurses performance and what assessment tools will you need? Explain your answers with best practices and scholarly support.

    4. How much time do you believe you need per nurse to run through the simulated case, and how will you manage these time constraints and the schedule in the simulation center? Explain your answers with best practices and scholarly support.

    5. Will you manually load data into the EHR representing the clinical data, including data that are clinically representative of the cases in which medication and documentation errors are occurring? Explain your answers with best practices and scholarly support.

    6. What other alternative could you consider in loading clinical data representative of the conditions related to medication and documentation errors? Explain your answers with best practices and scholarly support.

    7. What challenges do you identify in the data-loading strategies? Explain your answers with best practices and scholarly support.

Please note the grading rubric for the discussion board.

All discussion posts must be a minimum of 350 words not including references , references must be cited in APA format 7th Edition, and must include a minimum of 2 scholarly resources published within the past 5 years.

  • Applied Project Proposal & Literature Review Draft

This assignment is a DRAFT that asks you to construct a clear, evidence-based narrative of your topic by integrating:

    • existing research
    • theoretical perspectives
    • patterns across sources

Rather than introducing new theory or methods, your goal is to show how different sources interpret evidence and how those interpretations can be organized into a coherent explanation of the issue.

This assignment builds directly on your previous work by asking:

    • How does evidence become explanation?
    • How do different interpretations shape understanding of the same issue?

    —————-

    Core Task

You will use your sources (the ones from your annotated bibliography and two-to-three additions, if you choose) to:

  • Identify key patterns in the research
Compare how different authors interpret similar evidence
Construct a coherent narrative of the problem
Show how theory helps organize and explain that narrative
  • Assignment Components

    • Problem Framing (12 pages)

    Define the issue clearly.

    Then answer:

    • How is this problem typically described?
    • What assumptions shape how it is understood?
    • Literature as Competing Interpretations (45 pages)

This is the most important section. It relies on the work you have done in your Annotated Bibliography. Do NOT summarize one source at a time. Instead

    Organize your review around:

    • patterns in the literature
    • points of agreement and disagreement
    • different interpretations of similar evidence

    Ask yourself:

    • Do different authors explain the same issue differently?
    • What evidence do they emphasize or ignore?
    • What assumptions shape their conclusions?
    • Narrative Construction (23 pages)

This is the new piece. Construct your own explanation by answering:

    • What is the most convincing interpretation of the issue?
    • How do the sources come together to support that interpretation?
    • What story does the evidence tell when organized coherently?

You are not inventing new data.

You are organizing existing evidence into a clear explanation.

    • Connection to Theory (12 pages)

Briefly reconnect this new writing to your prior work. Explain:

    • How your chosen theory helps make sense of the narrative you constructed
    • Why this theoretical lens is useful for understanding the issue
  • Managing FNP patients
