Computer Science Question
(1) Browse the short overviews of the projects. Read a bunch of them theyre really interesting.
But dont try to read them all unless you have a lot of spare time; there are lots!
(2) Pick a project for which you think at least three different Analytics models might have been
combined to create the solution.
(3) Think carefully and critically about what models might be used to create the solution, how they
would be combined, what specific data might be needed to use the models, how it might be
collected, and how often it might need to be refreshed and the models re-run. DO NOT find a
description online (or elsewhere) of what the company or organization actually did. I want
this project to be about your ideas, not about reading what someone else did.
(4) Write a short report describing your answers to (3).

#1&2 scored 8. #3&4 scored 9. #5&6 scored 8. #7 scored 9. #8-10 scored 8

Something the HR dep is doing well: assisting in helping all employees and that they will return to new hiring orientation in July

Management Question
Respond to each of the following in a minimum of 250 -300 words each. They will be run through a plagiarism checker.
Imagine you are the HR Director for an organization that is planning to do business in one of the countries listed in Table 15.2 of your textbook(Japan….See my reasons for Japan below in bold)
Respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words:
- Which of those countries fascinates you the most, and why?
- According to the information in that table, what are the key cultural differences between the United States and the country you chose? In that other country, how effective do you think each of the following practices will be, and why?
- Extensive assessment of individual abilities for selection
- Individually based appraisal systems
- Suggestion systems
- Self-managing work teams
- *********My reasons for Japan are below**************************************************
Table 15.2 to prepare our organization for global expansion, Japan would fascinate me the most because of the deep interplay between culture, work ethic, and organizational behavior.
Japans business environment is shaped by a unique blend of tradition and modernity. What captures my attention most is the collectivist mindset that influences everything from decisionmaking to conflict resolution. In Japan, harmony (wa) is not just a cultural valueits a guiding principle for workplace interactions. As an HR leader, this would require rethinking how we approach leadership development, communication styles, and performance management. For example, Western-style direct feedback might be perceived as confrontational, so coaching managers on more indirect, relationshipcentered communication would be essential.
Another fascinating aspect is Japans emphasis on long-term employment relationships. Loyalty between employer and employee is traditionally strong, and job-hopping is far less common than in the United States. This would influence how we design retention strategies, career pathways, and onboarding programs.
Finally, Japans commitment to precision, quality, and continuous improvement (kaizen) aligns well with organizations that value operational excellence. Integrating these principles into our HR practices could elevate our global standards.
