The article I selected focused on the importance of self improvement and personal growth. It emphasized that both personal and professional success rely on understanding yourself and pushing yourself to reach your highest potential. The author explained that self improvement is a lifelong process that helps people build new habits, achieve goals, and strengthen their skills.

Two ideas that really stood out to me were the importance of building new habits and how personal growth can positively impact your professional life. Reading this made me realize that when I work on myself by setting goals, being on time, and learning to organize my work efficiently Im not just improving personally, but also growing into a better soldier, future leader, and person overall.

A recent growth experience Ive had in my current role as a mechanic was learning how to manage stressful situations while maintaining a positive attitude. Days when vehicles break down unexpectedly, maintenance deadlines are tight, or equipment issues pile up can feel overwhelming. Ive learned how to stay calm, stay organized, and communicate effectively with my team to get vehicles back in service quickly. Even though its stressful, these situations help me grow and improve my technical skills, problem solving, and leadership abilities.

During my college journey, I want to grow in my education by building stronger leadership and problem-solving skills. I also want to set a good example for my family and friends by showing that growth isnt easy, but it comes through hard work. I hope to use my experiences to inspire others to believe in themselves and keep improving no matter the circumstances.

The title of the article: that I selected for Personal Growth was this one here from mind valley.

Chapter 3: Enjoying the Collage experience & Growth Article:

I selected this article because of the structure and the information I felt it provided was the most useful due to the way it was laid out plus it had the most details regarding self-development and how to achieve this. The article to me was more about what it is, the steps of how to accomplish it, some ideas and things that you can implement on how to become more disciplined with yourself. It also provides some information on some of the obstacles that you may face regarding this such as being resistant to learning, too much knowledge intake can be overwhelming, finding the proper resources for it and so forth. The chapter that I read was more so about finding ways to enjoy online classes and college in general, you can take away a lot of things from this and even become associated with clubs and other things that you feel may have been a factor with your life. Diversity in school is also very important because of the way they grow up and do things that can be something new but beneficial to you. It also teaches us to view things from another perspective which allows us to be more open minded and have a better understanding of many things. Collage is also helping us build long lasting relationships with classmates who become long lasting friends, it can help minimize stress in the long run because of the benefits that come from graduating and learning things that are beneficial to us, some of us may not be very social or lack social skills so class becoming engaged in your classes with other classmates due to projects and just being around them can be very helpful to others so it can help them learn how to communicate and engage with others more effectively.

Two ideas from the article: that I found beneficial and useful were

    • Adopting new skills such as learning new languages, instruments, meditation, and other platforms.
    • Getting wiser with your finances

The reason I found these skills beneficial were because learning new languages can be useful when communicating with people who struggle speaking English fluently but also useful for when you travel outside the country if necessary, at times, Im looking to go to Japan here in May for my birthday so learning a little bit would be nice. Meditation is nice because we all need a break from work, school and other things that we face on a day-to-day basis so we can refresh our mind. The next part I selected was getting wiser with your finances I havent always been the brightest with using my finances wisely I always chose to go out have a good time and deal with the repercussions from the things I did but at the same time I wasnt the worst when it came down to it because I was always working diligently and hard to ensure I made the money back. I eventually learned how to utilize my finances a lot better over the years and made sure that I wasnt slacking on the things I need while also putting always some extra cash for the things I needed so that I can ensure that I have what I need for my life and in case of an emergency. These two ideas stood out to me for those reasons, but I feel a lot of others can benefit from using these resources that this article provides because we can all grow from our current version of who we are.

The growth experience: that I look forward to developing from my classes is new ideas that I can implement on the business Ill be looking to restart here soon but also giving me some refreshing tips on others thing I may need for the business career I choose in this life. I chose business management because I want to ensure that I become successful and have a sustainable business that is thriving and doing well, I have confidence in the things that I do because I feel that I manage a lot of things well and ensure that Im not doing things at a low level I really try to ensure that the work I put out is reasonable enough and looks well enough to display for others to critique but also see and notice.

Growth to enrich your family & community:

I plan on using my growth to help my family not worry so much about finances and help them with work shall they need any work during the hard times that life may throw at us but I also want to ensure that Im providing good quality food for the clients that I look forward to serving again or new customers who are looking for good quality food. I dont want them to be eating food thats frozen I want them to eat fresh food then rant about it to their friends and family like they did the first time I ran the restaurant here in Placitas, NM. The place was called Sabrosito which means tasty in English but the name of the title for Better Call Saul which the property was used in, the location was also used in Breaking Bad so this name is something I will retain as well but the growth that comes from everything is for my loved ones, to help others out in the community and myself. I know these things will happen with Gods will and blessings. I want to help the community by providing a clean nice spot to eat but also giving back to the homeless people who are roaming outside in the streets looking for a bite to eat. I want to do Gods will, and he tells us in scripture to 1 John 3:17- If someone has enough money to live well and see a brother or sister in need but shows no compassionhow can Gods love be in that person? another piece from scripture states Proverbs 19:17- that being kind to the poor is lending to the Lord, who will reward the giver and one more piece from the bible states Proverbs 28:27- those who hide their eyes from the poor will experience many curses I also like growth and things like this because the ones in my family who actually want to learn Ill make sure they learn these things as well if theyre willing to accept the knowledge that can be shared with them as well as criticism that can be used to help them develop.

I really enjoyed this because having any type of growth and learning new knowledge is always nice but useful to us all.
