    Background Information

Your nursing expertise paper will be created exclusively in Academic Writer. There are several positive reasons to use Academic Writer:

    • Because the program is web-based, you do not need to worry about losing a paper if your computer crashes.
    • Academic Writer archives your references in one list from all previous assignments. As you develop a personal library over time, you will not need to recreate reference lists from scratch. You can simply add your perfected references to new documents you create.
    • You can store excellent quotes from sources with their reference lists to use in future assignments.
    • You can add notes on your sources into the reference manager so you can differentiate between articles without having to reread them every time.

The only drawback to using Academic Writer is that you need to be connected to the Internet to use it. This will be true of most web-based programs you may use.

  • Unit One: Literary (and film) interpretation

The Essay Assignment: Write a 750-900-word essay (thats 212 to 3 pages of text, plus a Works Cited list after that) that responds to the prompt below. In your essay you are required to quote from both of the main works you are discussing (the story Robot Dreams and the film Frankenstein) and also quote from my Class Notes, Unit One: Prometheus, Literature, Technology, and … Us! You are also welcome, but not required, to quote from any or all of the other sources in this unit, the TedEd video, by Iseult Gillespie, entitled The Myth of Prometheus, the Psychology Today post by John Nosta entitled “The Modern Prometheus in the Form of AI,” and the article “What Greek Mythology Can Teach Us About the Dangers of AI,” by Michael Buckley. Quotes should include in-text citations, and the essay needs a works cited list at the end, in MLA style. The Prompt: Please write an essay that discusses the Promethean theme in Isaac Asimovs 1986 story Robot Dreams and James Whales 1931 film Frankenstein and connects those texts to our current age of technological developments and potential dangers. Here are some questions you might think about as you prepare to write (you do not need to focus on these questions or necessarily answer them; they are meant simply to be starting points for thinking about the topic, if you get stuck): In what ways are the scientists in these two texts similar to one another, and how do they differ? What is the danger presented by their creation, and which protagonist, Frankenstein or Dr. Calvin, responds more appropriately to that danger, in your view? Finally, do you see ways in which these texts predict current debates and concerns over technological innovations and how their impacts can be controlled? Please try to set up your discussion by referring to the Prometheus story early onand this would be a great spot to get support by quoting from your sources (my class notes, the TedEd video and/or one of the brief articles)and then go on to discuss both Robot Dreams and Frankenstein. If you feel more comfortable with one of those texts than the other, you can focus more on that one, but be sure to at least refer to both and to quote from each of these source and discuss those quoted passages. Try to conclude your essay by connecting the ideas in these texts to real life today and one of the “Promethean” technological developments currently impacting our lives. An MLA formatted works cited list should follow the essay, on its own as the last page. Classwork and class materials will help you in the preparation of this works cited list.

  • Why Everyone Should Work in a Restaurant At Least Once

Hi! I want to explain exactly how I need this paper written.

This is a proposal/rough draft for a semester-long research paper (the final paper will be 56 pages). Right now, my professor only wants us to plan our topic and explain what we will argue. This proposal should be 56 paragraphs, about 112 to 2 pages, in MLA format.

My topic is: Why Everyone Should Work in a Restaurant at Least Once.

Since this is a proposal, the paper needs to:

    • Introduce the topic and clearly state my argument (thesis)
    • Explain why this topic is important and worth researching
    • Explain how I plan to focus the topic
    • Include three research questions in the final paragraph
    • Follow the grading checklist exactly so I can earn a 100/A

It would be much easier for someone to write this if they have personally worked in a restaurant (server, host, bartender, etc.), because real experience will make the writing more authentic.

I actually wrote about this topic during my first semester of ENGL 1101, but unfortunately it was flagged for AI use. I did use AI at that time, and it affected my grade. Because of that, I need this paper to sound completely human-written, natural, and personal not robotic or overly formal. Also, please write in simple word form. I dont normally use a lot of big or complicated words. Its okay to mix in a few stronger words, but overall keep it clear, simple and easy to read.

    I will provide:

    • My previous essay (so you can see my experiences, reasons, and feelings about working in the restaurant industry)
    • A student sample proposal my professor gave us (to show what she expects)
    • The grading checklist (at the bottom of the document)

Please follow the checklist carefully. I really want to make sure this meets every requirement.

If you have any questions at all, please ask. Im happy to clarify anything.

    Thank you so much!
