  • Implementing EBP

We will be using .The Iowa Model of Evidence-Based Practice presents directions for implementing patient care based on the best research evidence and monitoring changes in practice to ensure quality care.

Understanding of the evidence-based practice (EBP) models is key to implementation of EBP. There are various models available; some of which were presented to you in this unit.

Consider the following questions in your discussion post:

    • Select one of the models presented in this unit.
    • Describe how this model would be effective for implementing EBP and/or best practices in the practice, administration, or education setting.
    • Consider how you might introduce this change.
    • What barriers might you confront?

Responses need to address all components of the question, demonstrate critical thinking and analysis, and include peer reviewed journal evidence to support the students position.

Please be sure to validate your opinions and ideas with citations and references in APA format.

    • Question #1 Who gets left out of most historical narratives and why? Explain.
    • Question #2 Does this mean, in your opinion, that history is not the same as truth? Explain your answer.

    EACH WEEK:

Deadlines: By Thursday at midnight, post a response/reaction to the question posed. Start your own thread and, title it “Your Name Main Post” so Kim Chester’s would say, “Kim Chester Main Post.”

Read and reflect on your colleagues responses.

By Sunday at midnight, click “reply” to at least two of your colleagues postings in one or more of the following suggested ways:

    1. Ask a probing or clarifying question.
    2. Share an insight from having read your colleagues posting.
    3. Offer, support, or challenge a position
    4. Validate an idea with your own experience.
    5. Expand on your colleagues posting.
    6. Ask for evidence that supports the posting.

Main posts and responses should include references as appropriate. There are no one or two sentence posts in this course. Avoid piggy-back responses. The responses to fellow students should be as thoughtful and substantive as your main post

  • 638 Comprehensive Study Guide 2

    • At each checkpoint students will:
    • Create an outline of the test content outline items that have been covered in the course.
    • Provide 1 original visual aid to enhance understanding of a complex topic (e.g., chart, diagram, table, illustration, mnemonic). These must be created by the student and may not be taken from the Internet.
    • Write 5 original multiple-choice questions that include the correct answers and rationale for the correct answer.
    • Submit 2 references to review to enhance understanding of complex material taken from course materials.
    • A sufficient outline:
    • Covers all assigned items for this checkpoint from the BACB Test Content Outline.
    • Is organized clearly (e.g., bullet points, headers, or hierarchy showing main concepts and subtopics).
    • Includes key definitions, examples, or applications drawn from course materials (textbook, lectures, or assigned readings).
    • Avoids copying directly from external sources or overly broad summaries – focus on your own synthesis of the material.

    • Includes five (5) original questions related to assigned BACB Test Content topics.
    • Each question has five answer options (A-E) with one clearly identified correct answer.
    • Each question includes a brief rationale explaining why the correct answer is correct (and, when relevant, why others are not).
    • All content is originally written by you, not copied or adapted from online sources or test prep materials.
    • A sufficient visual aid:
    • Presents one original, student-created visual (e.g., chart, table, diagram, flowchart, or mnemonic) that connects clearly to assigned BACB content.
    • Is clearly labeled, legible, and accurate in representing behavioral concepts.
    • Focuses on enhancing understanding of a concept (e.g., reinforcement schedules, stimulus control, or experimental design).
    • May be hand-drawn, digitally created, or formatted in Word/PowerPoint, as long as it is your own work.
    • Sufficient references:
    • Include two references in correct APA format (7th edition).
    • Are relevant to the assigned BACB content areas for this checkpoint.
    • Come directly from course materials (e.g., assigned readings, textbook chapters, or instructor-provided sources).
    • If you utilize a textbook as a reference, you must include the specific page numbers or chapter that is relevant to the assigned Test Content Outline items.
    • Support or reinforce your outline, multiple-choice rationales, or visual aid content.
    • Are properly cited in APA 7th Edition formatting, including author, year, title, and source; avoid links or incomplete citations.

  • Week 7 DQ

    Week 7 Discussion

    Game-Winning Moves

Our focus this week is on choosing a strategic direction that will set your organization apart from competitors in a way that enables you to stand out from everyone else. Jack refers to this as changing the game. Sherman refers to it as breaking away from the pack (Chapter 11).

    • Using the company you selected for your course project, ( Assignment 1) identify a potential game-changing move that you believe will create a sustainable competitive advantage. This move should derive from one of the seven common moves first introduced in last week’s lecture notes.
    • This potential move should represent a possible new move the company should consider for creating even more competitive differentiation. In other words, it should not be a specific move that the company has or is currently implementing.
    • Briefly summarize how the move will fundamentally shift the playing field to the companys advantage and beat the competition.
    • Explain which of the four positioning categories described by Sherman (Breakaway, Reverse Positioning, Blue Ocean or Disruptive Innovation) best describes the move, and why.

  • Assignment 6.2 Implementation of Ethics in Threat Assessment

Write a 500-word paper (minimum) discussing the potential pitfalls of including an unethical person in a Threat Assessment Team. Analyze how ethical breaches can impact the team’s effectiveness and credibility.

Write a 500-word paper (minimum) examining the potential pitfalls of involving an unethical person in Threat Management. Synthesize how unethical behavior can affect the overall management process and develop strategies for mitigating such risks.

In your paper, make sure to evaluate the significance of ethical considerations in Threat Assessment and Management, and apply insights from the past five weeks to support your analysis.

    • Assignment must be a minimum of 3-5 pages double-spaced.
    • Use Times New Roman or Arial, 12-point font.
    • Set 1-inch margins on all sides.
    • Follow APA format for citations and references.
    • Include 2 references.
    • Provide a separate title page and reference page.
    • Your paper must be substantive and demonstrate your ability to apply knowledge and critical thinking skills.
    • Research is a required component. A credible source must back all statements, opinions, and positions. A credible source is written by someone who is an expert in their discipline and is free of errors and bias. Usually, this means that blog authors, content creators (YouTube), Wikipedia postings, and random answers found on the Internet do not count as credible. While ChatGPT and other OpenAI tools are producing amazing results, at this time they should not be considered credible. Book authors, blogs written by industry leaders (their credentials must be verified), and scholarly journals can be considered credible sources and used in your writings. You must include at least 2 in-text citations/direct quotes that includes a valid link to your source.
    • Review the attached Assignment Rubric before completing the assignment.
    • Enter your assignment text, document, or link in the Submission box below.
  • the application of clinical systems

Conduct a search for recent (within the last 5 years) research focused on the application of clinical systems. The research should provide evidence to support the use of one type of clinical system to improve outcomes and/or efficiencies, such as the use of personal health records or portals to support patients newly diagnosed with diabetes.

    • Develop an annotated bibliography that follows the organization of the Sample Annotated Bibliography resource provided in this Competency.
    • Complete the annotated bibliography for each of the five peer-reviewed articles you selected for the one type of clinical system you selected. Be sure to include the following:
    • An introduction of each peer-reviewed article selected.
    • APA citation of each peer-reviewed article selected.
    • Summarize the study in each peer-reviewed article selected.
    • Analyze each peer-reviewed article selected. What are the benefits and limitations of each peer-reviewed article?
    • Explain the improvement to outcomes, efficiencies, and lessons learned from the application of the clinical system that each peer-reviewed article described. Be specific and provide examples.
