Writing Question
The rubric is attached, has all the instructions on how it will be graded. I need a few things done:
First, I need it revised so it fits the word count.
Second, I need the sources to be checked and make sure the quotes are correct.
Third, I NEED IT TO PASS AI CHECKERS.
Fourth, make sure it meets all the grading criteria for an A grade.
Fifth, make the citations at the end in the Harvard citation format.
The uploaded document with the essay draft includes a few things. At the top is my initial notes for the essay if you need a better understanding of where I am coming from when writing the essay. Under that are the quotes and how I planned to use them in the essay, and at the bottom is the completed draft. This is what I need you to revise with the five objectives above. I will also be uploading the four sources I used, in case you want to pick better quotes, and so you can put it in Harvard citations at the end.
Requirements: between 1100-1250 not including reference page

Synthesis Essay
Synthesis
refers to combining sources and your own position to form a cohesive, supported argument.
To do so, you will develop a thesis, and then you will use two sources to reinforce your ideas.
For this unit, you will be writing about an issue that is shown in the two of your chosen articles. Over the next several weeks, you will learn to identify and then construct a well-reasoned argument using rhetorical appeals. In your essay, you will also incorporate material from a THIRD source that you find online or through the library that correlates with the chosen subject.
IMPORTANT!
Each paragraph must explore an aspect of your main argument (thesis) and use evidence from two sources. But be careful about overly long paragraphs! This is essentially a rehearsal for your research paper, in which you will integrate many sources into an essay. The point is to show how the sources work together to support your argument, NOT to simply compare and contrast the sources.
Purpose:
To learn to synthesize multiple texts into an argument, while maintaining a position (thesis)
unique to the writer. You will also demonstrate the ability to find and use credible sources.
Message:
You will be adding to already ongoing academic conversation about your subject.
Audience:
The synthesis essay must be addressed to educated readers who have already read the articles
. This is not a book report; DO NOT SIMPLY SUMMARIZE WHAT THE TEXTS SAY. Keep in mind that the audience will not necessarily agree with your argument, so you need to be objective and impartial.
Format:
Your synthesis essay must be 1200-1500 words (about 4-5 pages),using proper APA format and citation
. You will include an Abstract and a References page, but they do not count towards your word minimum.
Choose two articles from the following list
. Be sure to annotate your text or take notes on your computer. Pay attention to how the texts intersect. Do they agree with each other? Disagree? Do they
examine different aspects of the same topic? Next, look online for an outside article that correlates with the subject and once again, examine how it correlates to both of these articles.
1.Jennifer Wehunt, The Food Desert
2.Patricia Allen, The Disappearance of Hunger in America
3.Julie Guthman, Cant Stomach It: How Michael Pollan et al. Made Me Want to Eat Cheetos
4.Michael Pollan, Our National Eating Disorder
5.Hank Shaw, On Killing
6.David Foster Wallace, Consider the Lobster

Refining Article Summaries for a Natural, Human Tone
Hi, I was reviewing the summaries I wrote, and I ran them through Grammarly, which flagged them as being over 70% AI-generated. Could you help me rephrase them in a more natural, human style? I want to keep the same ideas, but just make them sound less robotic. I really appreciate it!

Writing Question
Due Dates and Format:
Typed rough draft due: Tuesday, February 24th
Final copy due: Thursday, February 26th
Length: Cover Letter- 1 page (single-spaced)
Specifications: Typed, 1 inch margins, 11-12 pt. Times New Roman.
Format: Paper should be formatted as a letter, not an academic paper. It should be in block
format, which means all text is left justified, single-spaced, with double space between
paragraphs. (This is the most common format for business letters.) Follow the format of the
examples we reviewed in class.
Your Task:
1. Write a cover letter to (hypothetically) accompany a resume for a job application applying for
a job in your desired field. Again, use the format from the examples we discuss in class. The
letter should be directed to a specific employer with a listing on the Internet. You will need to
place yourself in a different situation for these jobs: On the verge of graduation from
college, rather than at the beginning of your college career. Think about what an employer
would look for when searching for potential candidates. Even if you do not have many
qualifications right now, you can just pretend (for this assignment) that you do. This
will require research into your desired profession and major. Perhaps this will help you
determine what activities you should become involved in at Gannon or the university you
decide to attend.
Thinking about your audience is very important for this assignment. The person to whom you
are writing may be your future employer, so how do you want to sound to them? Do not feel you
need to use big or impressive words. They want to know you, not your computers thesaurus. A
cover letter is your time to shine, so sell yourself.
Evaluation of your Letter:
I will be looking especially for:
Well-developed content, tightly focused, with clear, logical reasoning and evidence.
Content that is thoughtful and significant to readers other than yourself.
Your development of an appropriate persona for your purpose and audience.
The unity and coherence of your letter.
Your use of Standard English conventions.
Your use of word processing, grammar and spell checking technologies.
Evidence that you have used a thoughtful writing process to create your paper.
Would I hire you?this is the job application.
