Choose a thesis topic for English 1302

Summary You must submit all print sources used in the paper here, in PDF format, not counting the two articles that we had in class. This is a condition for acceptance of your final draft. Your final paper is not eligible for a grade, unless I have all sources in hand. See the instructions below. Be sure you’ve reviewed the assignment sheet for the research paper for reminders on the sources. I am collecting sources and thesis statements early to hold everyone accountable and to have them on hand early. Extra attempts will be added for any changes to source selections later.

Directions

  • Attach a Word file with a ONE (1) sentence debatable thesis, PLUS:
  • Attach all source files one-by-one before hitting the <Submit> button.
  • Name each file logically, a shortened version of the article title, for instance.
  • Submit PDF copies of all print sources used in the paper.
  • Submit PDF copies of the transcripts of any TED talks you used.
  • Include PDF copies of bibliographic information and relevant chapters from any eBooks you used. Do the same for any print books
  • Don’t include whole books.
  • Don’t include any links to anything.

Reminders: Except for TED talks, all sources must come from the STC databases unless otherwise approved. All source use must be properly cited in MLA format and documented in the final draft in the body paragraphs and on the Works Cited page. Parenthetical notes must contain page numbers or the span of pages where your claims come from. I will spot check to make sure data and source use is accurate and not AI or otherwise fabricated.
