These are corrections my professor sent me and now the methods section of the essay which is supposed to be surveyed from students ( the questions that are asked should be in the student exempt review request link) tbh I think I did it wrong lnk if u need new questions and i need to re do it and he thinks I should change my questions at the end which is in the corrections of the essay which you will see once gone through
He also sent me this email “You submitted your IRB permission form and the informed consent page that would be part of your data collection, but those usually have to be updated to match the Method section. That is what I suggest you work on for now. And I have sent your corrections over aswell”
These are the directions This paper has two requirements: (1) making corrections (based on my feedback) to the Section 1 paper and (2) writing a Method section. The Method section is where you explain in detail how you will collect data to test your hypotheses or answer your research questions. Include at least one appendix that includes your data collection instrument (e.g., a blank version of your survey, codebook, interview questions, etc.). This paper should include Section 1 and add a Method section. This second paper should be 9 to 11 pages long, not including the Title Page, References section, or appendices. Write this in past tense.
Make sure your (A) Literature Review lead to your hypotheses and/or research questions, (B) hypotheses and/or research questions include clear independent and dependent variables, and (C) independent and dependent variables lead to your method design and data collection instruments.

2. on a new page, a -page introduction (corrected)
3. continuing after the introduction (not on a new page), a 6 to 8 page Literature Review (corrected)
4. continuing after the Literature Review (not on a new page), a -page list of at least 3 research questions and/or hypotheses (corrected)

o including each dependent variable (corrected)
5. continuing after hypotheses or research questions (not on a new page), a 1- to 3-page Method section, including:
o description of sample, the population the sample represents, and how:
if researching people, how people will be contacted to participate in study (e.g., by email, in-person)
if researching content, how content will be collected (e.g., watching movies, reading lyrics, etc.)
o description of data collection instrument(s), including how they connect to independent and dependent variables
6. on a new page, a 2-page References section (corrected)
7. on a new page, at least one Appendix including blank copy of data collection instrument(s)
Notes: You cannot collect data until after you have completed CITI training, have received Institutional Review Board approval, and your Method section is approved. Sample sizes depend on research objectives and methods, but, generally follow these guidelines. Sample sizes that are too low impact grades for the Final Thesis, as your work is graded based on what is accomplished, not based on what is attempted.
If interviewing, sample at least 3 interviewees
If conducting a focus group, sample at least two groups of at least 5 respondents each
If conducting a content analysis, sample at least 15 pieces of content each from at least two content types
If conducting a survey, sample at least 75 respondents
If conducting an experiment, sample at least two groups of 8 participants each
