Assignment 2: Construction Takeoff and Cost Proposal
In this assignment, you will perform a construction takeoff analysis for a multi-level hotel building project. The goal of this exercise is to simulate a real-world estimating scenario in which a contractor prepares a cost proposal for a client based on architectural drawings.
Using the architectural drawings provided for the hotel project (see attachment), each team will complete a quantity takeoff for the following building components:
- Flooring
- Walls
- Windows
- Doors
Your team will use these quantities to develop a cost estimate and proposal for the project owner.

- Cost Estimate
- Quantity takeoffs for doors
- Unit costs and total cost calculations
- Risk and Contingencies
- Identification of potential risks in the project
