draft revision

my draft needs to be touched up to standard.

requirements This project will give you the chance to develop a proposal for an actual grant offered to Arizona State University students for projects designed to address local or global challenges. You will focus on meeting the expectations of a specific audience, taking into account realistic timelines, budgets, and other constraints while addressing a particular problem. You may work alone or in groups of up to three.

Topic:

Arizona State University offers students the opportunity to apply for a that will fund “service projects, civic engagement, sustainability solutions, and entrepreneurial startups” with grants of $500-$2000. Interested parties must fill out an application, and if the initial application is selected, must present a pitch to a funding committee for final judging. Though you will not be required to follow-through by actually applying for a grant and pitching to the funding committee, you will be creating a 1200-2000-word proposal in APA format and presenting a 11-slide pitch deck for Project 2 as though you are going to follow through. If you choose to participate in the opportunity beyond the classroom, it would be eligible for inclusion in your Project 4: Rsum Development report.

Prewriting:

Read the textbook pages assigned in this unit. Take some time to review successful pitches from the past (in class on Friday, February 13). Brainstorm proposal ideas. Consider forming a team or choosing to work alone.

Length/Format:

The proposal document you write to introduce your project idea should be 1200-2000 words (including the cover page, abstract, and References). APA formatting should be used throughout the document, and your proposal must include at least two credible sources cited in APA style.

This project also requires a 11-slide presentation. You will be asked to deliver a pitch (5-10 minutes*) using these slides during week 9 or 10.

Groups must use Google Docs and Google Slides to track individual contributions while making every effort to support the team and create a cohesive final product.

*The final required length of the pitch will be determined by the number of proposals/teams for this project.

Evaluation:

In this project, I will be expecting a carefully crafted proposal, designed with the grant opportunity parameters in mind. I will be using the rubric for this course to evaluate your work. If you are working in a group, your grade will be based primarily on your individual contributions to the written proposal document and the pitch deck. As with all assignments for this class, I expect a highly polished project that has been carefully organized, edited, proofread, and revised. This assignment is worth 20% of your final semester grade.
