Ethical dilemma

An ethical dilemma involves conflicting beliefs, values, rights, or professional responsibilities of individuals and/or groups. To clarify and understand what an ethical dilemma is you need to identify whothe problem affects (groups, organizations customers). What is the issue (opposing sides or beliefs)? What impact is the issue causing? What would happen if the ethical dilemma were not solved?

The aim of this assignment is for students to identify their core beliefs and positions on a specific ethical dilemma, discuss a clinically relevant scenario, and apply multiple perspectives or concepts to an ethical issue. Students will be divided into teams, based on clinical groups. Teams will be asked to prepare a 10-minute presentation on their ethical dilemma, covering an overview of their dilemma

The goal of the presentation is to help your classmates gain anunderstanding of the main aspects of the assigned ethical dilemma. When completing this assignment, you are teaching your classmates about the ethical dilemma and why the dilemma is a concern to nurses.

Students should find and discuss a clinical scenario related to their assigned dilemma. Students should then develop 3 questions about the scenario to help develop their class presentation. The questions are to help students develop their presentation; students do not have to include the questions in the presentations. The final deliverables will include a copy of presentation materials used, and a reference sheet in APA format. Teams must use a minimum of 3 scholarly references ( must be within the last 5yrs).
