THEN: Post your answers to the following three questions (200-250 words for each answer).
1. Physical/Build Environment: The tragedy in Brazil happened in 2013 and the international community should have learned from it to avoid additional accidents. Compare and contrast the fire in Brazil with the one that happened in Switzerland in the Le Constellation bar in Crans-Montana on January, 1st 2026 by identifying three distinct elements of the interior built environment which contributed to both tragedies.
2. Human Factors and culture of the location at the time of the fires: Identify and explain two distinct elements which might have been present in both tragedies related to the management/ownership of the clubs and how the decisions made by the owners of these venues (the acceptable culture of the local construction industry) might have contributed to these tragedies.
3. Ethics and Professional Responsibility: Using the , briefly explain two duties of engineers and related canons (as described in the code of ethics) that were violated in these cases and how they were violated and ultimately contributed to these tragedies. (Please remember that the canons must be spelled out, points will be deducted from the answer if they are only mentioned by number.)
