Through this assessment, learners will creatively demonstrate understanding of the five conflict management styles by designing an engaging and informative infographic.
Instructions:
Design an infographic using Canva that showcases the 5 conflict management styles and how each can be applied to a different leadership scenario. Include a brief, simple case explanation with your visual examples to demonstrate when each style would be most appropriate for a leader to apply.
Design each section of the infographic clearly so each conflict style has its own part. Add icons to visual elements (like a gavel for competing, handshake for collaborating, etc.) to make each style more visually distinct. Write short, simple descriptions and case examples for each style.
**An example layout for two of the 5 sections might include the following:
Avoiding:
- Visual: Icon of a leader stepping back or ignoring a situation
- Example Case: A leader avoids a conflict between two team members when its a minor issue that doesnt impact team goals.
Compromising:
- Visual: Icon of two people negotiation.
- Example Case: A leader compromises with two departments that both want resources but have limited availability.
