Forum #12 – Post Pop Up Shop Video – Pitch 4 For Pitch 4 First, View this video Links to an external site. Then, Create and post a 3-minute or shorter Pitch4 YouTube video link of a Pop Up Shop sales or presentation event at any venue of your choosing, including a mock set up that is safe and authorized. Caution: Keep safety and authorization in mind wherever you set up to record this activity. If you don’t have access to a safe setting to record this, you can create a mock setup at an authorized space on our campus or inside of your home or workspace, or any other space where someone can grant you safe and authorized access. Show one or more founders at your pop up shop doing a pitch to prospective customers and angel investors. No need to spend any money at all on this. You can use typical household items as props for your pop up shop. For example, a sheet can be used as a table skirt; magazine or mail fliers can be used as mock marketing materials; bottles of water and soft drinks can be used as mock giveaways; a bowl can be used to hold mock candies; tiny balls of paper can be wrapped in small pieces of foil as mock Hershey Kisses candies; non-used pencils and pens can be placed in bowls as mock giveaways; a TV can be placed on a table showing your looping business commercial; 2 laptops can be placed on the table one showing your cover page Canva Slide, and another showing a Sign in sheet; you can even borrow toys from the 2-year old while not looking to adorn your table if appropriate; tissue paper (or actual tissue 🙂 could be used as cute streamers; accent lighting (lamps) can make your Pop up Shop setup super appealing and eye-catching; and any other creative innovation you derive to not spend on this assignment. Viewers of your video don’t need to hear all of your pitch to prospective customers and angel investors: But, they need to hear segments of your promoting your value proposition (i.e., your products, services, solution, etc.). Simply show some audio/visual, sort of like how this black woman entrepreneur is pitching to customers in realtime, beginning at the 17.11 minute mark in this video Links to an external site. (Caution: turn volume down…contains adult language). This segment where one or more founders at your pop up shop are pitching should be produced/created and infused into the larger 3 minute version sort of like a short second segment that would be included in different types of commercials and infomercials. Note that when angel investors walk up to a pop up shop vendor, they typically won’t announce themselves as an investor. They may appear as an interested observer who is just looking. The quality of your pitch about what your business is offering to such visitors, and the quality of your visuals and optics at your pop up shop, may entice an investor to disclose interest in learning more about you, your co-founders, and your business. Check out what these very young entrepreneurs advise on things to keep in mind about your pop up shop visuals Links to an external site. Post a YouTube video link of this revised presentation Pitch4 to this Discussion forum.
