Purpose
The purpose of this assessment is to assess your ability to communicate information to an audience in a concise, confident and accurate information. This task provides an opportunity to communicate and work with your peers to manage an important task, developing teamwork and communication skills.
Task details
Select an aspect of transition shock that relates to your role as you transition into studying and/or working as a registered nurse in Australia. You will be required to present the topic as a group during the workshop in Week 7.
Instructions
- The selected topic is Language Barriers and Patient Safety in New Graduate Nurses in Australia
- The presentation should include reliable, up-to-date information from peer-reviewed journal articles. Remember that there is a lot of incorrect information on these topics on the internet. Ensure that your information comes from research data and reputable sources to maintain accuracy and credibility.
- Presentations should include a PowerPoint presentation of no more than 10 slides.
- Every presentation should at the very least include an overview with motivation (i.e. Why is this topic exciting?).
- Include a few relevant questions throughout.
