Sickle cell anemia

Your assigned group will develop a PowerPoint presentation on illness, wellness and health promotion. Choose a chronic illness, genetic or develops during childhood (for example, juvenile diabetes, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, congenital heart disease, sickle cell anemia, cystic fibrosis) and is a lifelong problem. Prepare a PowerPoint presentation that will discuss how the disease impacts the individual across the lifespan.

Include an in-depth discussion of the disease including pathophysiology, demographics and statistics. Include a discussion on the impact of the diseasethrough the lifespan, physically, mentally, emotionally, and developmentally. Include a discussion on prevention and health promotion across the lifespan for the disease. Include health promotion resources, one local, one national and one online and a brief description of each resource.

The presentation must include speaker notes to detail, define and clarify slides. Include a title slide, an introductory slide, 12-15 content slides and reference slides.
