Informative Speech Outline
Your first recorded speech is the 5-minute Informative Speech. The content of this speech should inform about your work, hobbies, health news, or any other topic you are interested in sharing. Speeches that explain or inform the audience about gun use are not acceptable. Other topics can be found in this week’s presentation. This written outline is due this Saturday, and the video is due at the beginning of week 3.
It is important that you coordinate now what format you will use to submit your video and who your audience will be.

Remember, visual aids are not required for this speech, but they are recommended for extra credit. If you have visual aids, you must use them during the speech, as well as mention them in the outline, and don’t forget to cite your sources verbally and include bibliographic references in the outline.

Part 2: Oral Presentation of the Informative Speech (to be presented on Wednesday of Week 3 in the live class)
1. After preparing your outline, practice and record your speech for self-evaluation. You can find instructions on how to record your speech in the Documents section. Important: You cannot read the speech.
2. The Informative Speech must be presented in the live class on Wednesday of Week 3.
