Task 5 materials development instructions

Good evening,

I am a second-year student at the University of Greenwich, in the Department of English Language & English Teaching. For the course The Methodology and Practice of Language Teaching, we are required to create a Portfolio with several tasks, one of which is this task: Materials Development Instructions.

I have uploaded the task instructions, as well as some additional notes. There is no specific word limit for the assignment.

The focus should be on the first text, which is the video, and it should be used as a listening task, including the relevant stages (e.g., warm-up, practice, etc.) and the creation of engaging and meaningful activities.

The assignment should clearly include:

• The students level, age group, and profile
• A detailed lesson plan with all activities
• Separate teacher guidance, so that it is clear and easy for another teacher to deliver the same lesson

It should be structured similarly to the example I have uploaded.

I do not want AI to be used at all.

Regarding references, you may use well-known authors such as Thornbury, Scrivener, and Watkins. I have also uploaded a file with suggested readings for ideas for activities.
