Overview

This assignment focuses on creating a detailed plan for analyzing qualitative data in your study. You will outline the strategies and processes you will use to analyze the data collected for your research, ensuring that they align with your chosen methodological approach.

Instructions

  • Compare multiple qualitative data-analysis methods for your selected methodological approach and explain why your selected data analysis choice is most appropriate for your research question. Then search the Capella Library to find scholarly sources to reference in your assignment.
  • Provide a step-by-step outline of how you will analyze your data, from initial coding to identifying themes and drawing conclusions. Give clear examples of what you might find and how you would proceed to the next step until the analysis is complete.
  • Clearly identify your methodological approach (generic qualitative inquiry, case study, or phenomenology) near the beginning of your paper. The data analysis process must align with this methodological approach, so it’s essential to name it explicitly. Briefly restate your research question near the beginning of your paper, so your analysis plan is grounded in your overall study design.
