The Final Project constitutes the comprehensive capstone project of the ABA 506 course. Students will complete a comprehensive Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) that synthesizes all of the course’s concepts, from data collection and analysis to ethical application and intervention design. The report should demonstrate the student’s ability to operationally define behaviors, collect and interpret data from indirect, descriptive, and functional assessments, and derive data-based hypotheses about behavior function.
Emphasis is placed on linking assessment results to an evidence-based Behavioral Intervention Plan (BIP) that addresses social validity and ethical standards. This work reflects the mastery of applied practice in behavioral assessment, critical analysis, and professional communication.
