Discussion Thread: Biblical Principles Applied to Justice
When we think of justice it is often understood to be fair treatment for people. Taking this a step further, people should get what they deserve for their actions, whether good or bad, and this measure is used to sum up whether justice was achieved. Does this everyday use of justice reflect what the Bible means by that term? It is clear that fairness and equal treatment are biblical principles. Leviticus 19:15 warns, for example, Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly. The biblical concept of justice goes beyond fairness and equal treatment. Spend some time thinking about this, and explore what the Bible teaches us about this. Is justice something that we create and fully achieve? How does this apply to our work with offenders?

Part one
the chosen listening example is “” by Thomas Tallis
Choose one of the Week 2 listening examples, which are embedded in Chapter 2 “Early Western Art Music” of the course e-text and in the Week 2 Lesson. (Music from the Middle Ages or Renaissance only, no Dylan, Baez, or Cash, etc.) Include the title of the listening example in your answer. After listening, address these six questions:
After listening, address the following six questions:
At the end of your response, include a paragraph describing two of the following musical elements of your chosen listening example: melody, harmony, rhythm, timbre, texture, and form. Include an explanation of why you selected those terms to describe your chosen composition. Refer to Chapter 2 in the course text for a detailed explanation of these important musical terms. Your answer should reflect knowledge and understanding of the course materials, particularly as it relates to your chosen composition.
part two
A) Determine Descriptive Statistics of Sample Dataset
Physical variables can be correlated with each other. An Excel spreadsheet is attached that includes 30 data sets illustrating the height and weight of a population segment. The first column is the height in inches and the second the weight in pounds. Heights and weights are the two variables in the datasets, and each of these variables has a number of observations (values) associated with it. Choose one data set that has not already been selected (include the number of the data set in your title to make this easier to do; see notes section for example).
i) First provide the definitions of:
ii) Next, calculate the values of mean, median and standard deviation of the a) heights and the b) weights in the data set. You can either do this by hand or see the video linked at the end to show you how to do this using the tools in Excel. Then discuss with each other the questions posed later in this assignment.
iii) Do the values of the mean, median, and standard deviation tell you anything useful about a dataset? If so, what is that? If you wanted to convey to someone a sense of what the data means, which statistic would you use (mean, median, standard deviation). Explain the reasons for your choice?
B) Create Plot of Data
Now, construct a scatter plot. You will use this plot to discuss some of the questions in Part C.
C) Analyze and Discuss
Discuss any two of the numbered items below in your main post. Write the response for each item in a separate paragraph and provide the number of the item to which you are responding.
Note: You must provide logical reasoning for the inferences that you make. If you make an assertion or claim, you must provide reasoning and links to published, reliable evidence to support your assertion/claim.
D) Self-Reflection and Responses
Self-reflection: Describe what you have learned from this exercise about using descriptive statistics and data visualization to understand the information contained in a dataset, and about communicating that information to others.
Response Posts: Respond to at least two of your classmates by elaborating upon or critiquing the points they make.
Notes
If you have a different version of excel then you may want to search to see how to form a trendline. These instructions work with Office 365 and Office 2010.
In this assignment, you will research and locate a current journal article on nursing leadership styles. The article must be from a professional, peer-reviewed nursing journal published within the last 5 years; and then write a summary of your findings.
Perform the following tasks:
Write a minimum 300 word discussion post on learning styles. Must provide at least 1 scholarly citation (2021-present, 1 citation from textbook, and 1 bible citation to support work. APA 7th format. No AI. Will be submitted via Turnitin. Textbook chapter and discussion post instructions are attached.

It is time to think about what you have learned in this module and reflect on how it fits with your professional experiences and prior knowledge. In this Evolve activity, you will simply assess how what you have learned this week compares to what you knew previously and how it might benefit you in your academic and career aspirations. Please answer the following:
This discussion addresses module outcomes 1 and 2. In this module, you learned about the different types of families and our economic systems. You learned about the changing of the family to include many types of family structures beyond the traditional nuclear family. You learned theories that explain the major role that family plays in the structure of society. You also learned about the troubles that families face today. In this discussion, you will analyze the family and the economy, linking the macro- and micro-sociological levels of analysis to show the way institutions shape social life.
Before beginning this activity, be sure to read the Module Notes and the assigned readings and viewings. Use as much detail from the readings and other learning materials in the module as possible to answer the following questions.
