Identify how different winemaking styles and culture-related aspects and modify the wine-making styles from around the world. Wine producing countries and their regions. On the first day of class, every student will select a country of his/her choice to study its wine-making industry as well as other related spirits-related sectors. It is essential that the country selected belongs to the following list of countries: . To avoid country repetitions, at the end of the first session, we will go through the list of countries chosen by the students. The country will be assigned on a first come first serve basis. The student will have to develop a country report analyzing the main wine regions pertaining to the country of choice. Some of the key topics that the student should address on the report are: Maps: Country and wine regions. Listing of wine-producing regions (with or without OD), and top wine cellars or wine-making companies per region or country. Total production in litters and in dollars. Main types of grapes used to the production of that country and region s wines. Climate of the wine regions and characteristics of the soil that make the wine so special. General economic data related to demographics, number of companies pertaining to the industry, exports, etc. Other important spirits (spirituous liquors and alcohol beverages) of the region, particularly related to grapes and vineyards. Pictures, videos, charts and visuals related to the topics. Every student should prepare a Power Point presentation to briefly explain in his/her findings about the company. It is expected a high level of professionalism. Minimum requirements: – Cover Page: Course #, Course title, Assignment # – Index – Sections and Subsections The document has to be properly outlined. – Conclusions – Referencing – Plagiarism Control – Word count Minimum 1750 words. – On time submission and uploading on Canvas Assignment Platform. – APA or Harvard Format with the appropriate referencing method. – Power Point deck of slides to present in class. -
