Sofia is a 25-year-old graduate student who lives with her boyfriend Luis. Sofia and Luis are
planning to get married after graduation, but Sofias best friend thinks that Luis is abusive and
she is worried about her friend. Luis has an explosive temper and is extremely jealous when
Sofia goes out without him or talks to any guys. Luis also controls Sofias money and how much
she spends. Sofia does feel a little frightened by how controlling Luis is, but she does not think
that his behaviors and actions are abusive.
