For this assignment, you will apply information from the textbook reading this week and the Bible to write a paper elaborating on your biblical worldview in relation to ethics in doctoral research. Your paper must be 35 pages (not including the title or references pages) and demonstrate knowledge of course-related content and the Bible. Include eight peer-reviewed, scholarly journal articles (references must have been published within the past 5 years) along with multiple citations to the Bible (other holy books cannot be used for this assignment). Overview

Applied research candidates must have consent to proceed with a research topic to ensure the topic meets applied research guidelines. This assignment serves as a start to identifying a topic through exploring the problem. Though your topic may need to change as you discover new information, it is best to solidify your topic as soon as possible.

You must have official consent to proceed with your research topic to conduct your research. This assignment starts the process by identifying a problem to research. For this assignment, you must include your degree cognate. While doctoral students are encouraged to align their doctoral research study topic with their degree programs (i.e. Curriculum and Instruction) or specializations/concentrations/cognates (i.e. Educational Psychology), the requirement is that their research topic falls within the discipline/field of education.

For this assignment, you will submit a topic that meets all applied research guidelines. See pages 3 to 30 in the Claxton and Michael (2023) textbook. The problem to solve or practice to improve must exist at the intended site. You are required to use the templates provided in the assignment. Use the checklists within the chapters to ensure success. The topic will be submitted for final approval for EDUC 816 in Consent to Proceed with Research Topic Assignment.
