Hello, good morning. I would like this final project in PowerPoint. It should be 10 slides long and structured to include a title presentation, an introduction, the main content, a conclusion, and references. It should also feature child-friendly images suitable for the project. Thank you.

PART 1

Purpose

Your goal is to design a real outdoor play provocation using natural materials. You will explore nature, create a meaningful setup for children, and reflect on how it can spark curiosity, creativity, and learning.

Directions

1. Explore and Gather:

• Spend time outdoorssuch as in a park, garden, or schoolyardand collect 57 natural materials (e.g., stones, leaves, sticks, pinecones, shells).
• Before collecting them, take photos of the materials in their natural environment, so we can see where they came from.

2. Create an Inviting Play Experience
Use the materials you collected to set up a simple, inviting play experience for a specific age group (e.g., preschool, kindergarten, or grades 1-3).

• Take a photo of your inviting play experience.
• Description of your setup: What did you arrange and how did you arrange it?
• Additional classroom materials (if used): Explain what you added and why it enhances exploration.
• Developmental goals: Describe which areas of development your setup supports (cognitive, social, emotional, or physical).
• Connection to course readings: Explain how the outdoor environment and natural materials shape childrens play choices.

3. Reflect in a Journal Entry (200-300 words):

Use these prompts to guide your reflection:

• How does nature inspire curiosity, problem-solving, or cooperation?
• What dispositions or habits of mind might children develop as they engage with your provocation?

Submit:

1. Photos of your natural materials before collecting them
2. Photos of your completed invitation play space
3. Details of your inviting play space as described above
4. Written reflection

Find a good/helpful video related to an aspect of chapter 11 and include the link to the video in your post. 1. FINAL PROJECT USE POWER POINT

This part of your project will reflect on the observations you made during your time with the child that you observed. Use your notes you took during the three hours of observations. This summary should include the following info:

• Age of child (years & months)
• Stage of cognitive development
• 2 goals for that stage can be found on the Piaget chart that we have made in this course
• 3 domains (physical, cognitive, and social/emotional domains) clearly defined and described for the stage of cognitive development that you observed.
• 3 typical milestones or characteristics identified in each domain for the stage of development of the child that you observed. You should be able to identify the characteristic and give an example of the characteristic that you observed (total of 9 – 3 milestones for each of the 3 domains)

Tell me about the child, his/her info that you will put into the ppt in Part 3, the artifacts you have for documentation for the stage of development (photos, copies of art work, writing samples, types of play you observed…etc. etc. These artifacts will vary for each of you.

Summarize your notes to give me the general ideas you’ll be using to build your ppt. That’s the purpose – using this summary to help build your ppt. HOWEVER, you should not use your notes to copy and paste into the ppt. Follow the rubric.

You should write this assignment in in APA student paper format. It should be 1 – 2 pages double spaced, 12 pt Times New Roman font.

The boy I am shadowing name is Crew and he just turned 7. His birthday is March 29.
