  • Research & Summaries Question

I HAVE ATTACHED AN EXAMPLE AND MY TOPIC IS IN THIS WRITING AND THE PAPER INSTRUCTION.

Topic: Communication Patterns in Romantic Relationships

I am interested in examining communication patterns in romantic relationships (topic of interest) from an interpersonal communication perspective (domain). Interpersonal communication plays a central role in how romantic partners express emotions, negotiate expectations, manage conflict, and develop intimacy over time. Research suggests that patterns such as openness, active listening, conflict management styles, and emotional responsiveness can significantly influence relationship satisfaction and stability. This topic should be studied because understanding effective and ineffective communication patterns can provide insight into relationship maintenance, emotional well-being, and the factors that contribute to both healthy and dysfunctional romantic relationships.

Assignment Overview: In this assignment, you will submit a complete (or very nearly complete) draft of your research paper. The more you submit in this assignment, the more feedback you will receive to aid you in creating a stronger final research paper.

    Assignment Specifics:

Your research paper should be 7-10 pages (not including title page) with standard 1″ margins, double-spaced, and a 12-point standard font. You should closely adhere to the APA 7th edition for guidelines on formatting and sourcing.

Your paper will have the following sections:

    Title Page: Use APA guidelines

    Introduction: ~ 1/2-1 page

Use an introductory story or hook to get the audience interested in your topic. Provide background and context on your topic. Identify the research problem (what should be studied and why) and state your thesis (or present your research question/hypothesis). Remember, this paper should make an argument. Provide an overview of the paper.

    Literature Review: ~4-6 pages

Your literature review should summarize relevant research/studies on the topic, identify major themes, and summarize the associations between and across a set concept/ideas. Remember, a literature review should analyze existing research within the topic to provide context to the topic, to identify gaps in the research (what hasn’t been studied), and position your own work within the field. Use subheadings to organize the themes within your literature review. Think of the literature review as a conversation between the researchers about what exists on the topic.

    Theory/Theoretical Framework: ~2-3 pages

In this section, you will explain your chosen theory and connect it to your topic. Define key ideas or principles from your theory and explain how the theory guides your research questions. It is the bridge between your literature review and your methodology (which you will learn in your methods class — Qualitative, Rhetorical, or Quantitative) and explains how you will use the theory to explain your research findings.

    Conclusion: ~ 1/2-1 page

Summarize your paper. Restate the thesis and explain the “so what” of this research (why does it matter to study).

References: as long as it needs to be

Include a source list of sources referenced within your paper, cited using APA 7th edition guidelines. You should have no less than 10-15 sources.

    Requirements: 7-10 PAGES

  • literature search and summary

    AI Not Permitted

There are several parts to this assignment:1) a literature search to learn how to use search strategies with two databases about a specific nursing topic, 2) locate two primary research studies, and 3) for each of the studies you found, summarize in your own words each of the research elements that are listed as column headings in the assigned table.

    Literature Search

Conduct a search for articles in both of these Databases: PubMed and Scopus.

    1. Use the Clinical Scenario to develop a search strategy that reflects the use of at least 3 search terms that are synonyms for the nursing intervention, and at least 3 search terms that are synonyms for the outcome impacted by the nursing intervention. Use the database limiters and specific population search terms to narrow your search to your specific population and the type of research design. Read the most promising articles to find the comparison interventions and possible timeframe being used in these studies.
    2. You can post potential search terms on the discussion board to get feedback and suggestions for more words/terms from classmates. You should have many (at least 3) search terms for the intervention that mean the same thing. You should have many (at least 3) search terms just for the measurable health outcome that mean the same thing..
    3. To begin your search of the literature start with PubMed. After you complete the search in PubMed, repeat your search with the same search terms in Scopus.
    4. Use a stepwise approach, ie. use one search term at a time and see how many articles you retrieve. First enter one of the many terms for the nursing intervention as a single search, then search on the next search term (a synonym for your first search term) for the intervention . Next enter one of the many terms for the measurable outcome as a single search, then search on the next search term (a synonym for your first search term) for the outcome). Next cross two or more of intervention searches with two or more of outcome searches by using the word AND to create the intersection of the terms. If you search in PubMed a search history is created that you can use to meet one of the grading rubric criteria by uploading the PubMed Search history to the assignment showing that you used a stepwise approach. A stepwise approach will let you see how many articles are retrieved after each step. If you get too few articles with one search term, revise your search term or compare different words with similar meaning]
    5. Create a document Plan and Record for Searching the Literature (PRSL) (see p. 159; Table 7-2) in Gray & Grove, 2021). (Note you can see all the information you need in PubMed Advanced Search/Search History).
    6. Fill out the PRSL document to plan and record your search of the assigned databases. You will submit this completed document for this Assignment.
    7. Upload the PubMed Search History as an electronic record of your search.

    Literature Summary

    1. Select two peer reviewed primary research articles located during your literature search to display on a Literature Summary Table. The selected articles should NOT be the same as the articles selected by your research partner. The headings of each column are the research elements of a quantitative research study that uses one of several research designs: a randomized controlled trial, a quasi-experimental design, or a cohort design. Your readings will help you understand what information from each study should be placed under each column heading.
    2. Complete the Literature Summary Table (Literature Summary Table, p. 165, Table 7-4 in Gray & Grove, 2021) by paraphrasing the basic elements of a research report for each of the articles you selected. [Note: a side feature is that you are going to make a table in MSWord]
    3. Use APA format (Title page, APA in text citation, Reference list).

    Submission of the Assignment

    1. Submit to the Assignment tab for Literature Search and Summary
    2. Create one MS Word document with two tables 1) PSLR and 2) Literature Summary Table
    3. Upload pdfs of both articles on your literature summary table.
    4. Upload an electronic record of your library search from your PubMed search history.

heres my argument: Option 3: Function and Purpose of Food Some argue that in contemporary society, food has shifted from a basic necessity to a form of convenience, entertainment, or status. Write an essay that argues your position on the extent to which this claim is valid. heres my argument: its true that food is convenience, entertainment, or status, for some, while others face food insecurity. and this is shown throughout history. I will link my quote bank, including my evidence, quotes, annotations, everything you’re able to use. DO NOT USE ANY OTHER SOURCES OR AI PLEASE. I will also link examples of Research outlines. copy the outline order and representation but with the work i provide you. do the same thing it does but with all my work and sources and commentary. do not use any outside sources that i havent provided on my quote bank document. make it achedemic but not too wordy. my document with my information is titled quote bank exemplars. the other two examples for outlines which you must do but with my information i will provide as well. stay true to my argument which again is this: Option 3: Function and Purpose of Food Some argue that in contemporary society, food has shifted from a basic necessity to a form of convenience, entertainment, or status. Write an essay that argues your position on the extent to which this claim is valid. heres my argument: its true that food is convenience, entertainment, or status, for some, while others face food insecurity. and this is shown throughout history.

  • Reading Response 3

For this week’s reading response, answer one question from each theory fully and completely (two questions in total). To fully answer the question, tether your response to specific theory concepts from your chapter reading and use quotes from the chapter to help ground your argument (you do not need a full APA citation for quotes, just put which edition of the book you are using and a page number — (10th, p. 214), for example). Each question asks you to think in the specific (your personal experiences) and then tie it to the larger understanding of the theory. As we assess your responses, we will be looking to see that you understand the theory by being able to use the concepts from the theory to explain the specific examples. I HAVE ATTACHED THE POWERPOINTS FOR THIS WEEL LESSONS…….

Expectancy Violation Theory (EVT) examines how people respond to violations of their personal space and communication expectations. Answer question 1 or 2 for this theory.

    1. Think of a time when you or someone you know violated another person’s expectations, and it was proven to be effective (we typically think of violations as ineffective). What happened? Using specific concepts from the chapter, discuss the experience, and why you think the violation was effective. What role do violation valence and communicator reward valence play in this situation?

    2. Watch clip from Big Bang Theory. In this clip, Amy desires more physical affection from her boyfriend Sheldon, and he has been unwilling. When Amy sees their friends Howard and Bernadette kissing, Amy is particularly disappointed and confronts Sheldon. Note that expectancy is a prediction of what will happen, not a desire; even though Amy wants romance, it would be a stretch to say she expected it. Watch what happens when Sheldon violates her expectations. What role do violation valence and communicator reward valence play in Amy’s reaction?

Social Penetration Theory (SPT) explains how relational closeness develops through gradual, ordered self-disclosure.Answer question 3 for this theory.

    3. Chris Lane’s song, “I Don’t Know About You” provides an interesting perspective on SPT. Watch the music video and read the lyrics. Using the words and images from the song, how do you see SPT played out in this example? What words or images speak to self disclosure and the layers of Altman and Taylor’s onion? Be specific in your analysis, connecting examples (words, phrases) from the song to concepts from the theory.
