Write a 2-page paper analyzing the fact pattern scenario below. Provide a detailed analysis of what crimes each person may be charged with, and which defenses might be available to each person. Make sure your support your response with legal reasoning using the Model Penal Code. use APA format for your citations Tony and Michelle are young and in love, but both are out of work and drowning in bills, but still decided to get married and let love conquer all. Tony, knowing he had no money, still told Michelle he was going to buy her an engagement ring. Michelle inquired how he could afford it and he told her not to worry about it. The couple went to Kay’s Jewelry store and Michelle picked out the ring of her dreams, which cost $10,000.00. Tony paid in cash and Michelle could not understand how he got the money but said nothing. They left the store with the ring, and Michelle began sending her friends pictures of it and posting photos on social media. Later that night, Michelle did ask where Tony got the money for the ring. He responded with a kiss and told her not to worry about it. They went to the courthouse and got married the next day at the Justice of the Peace. After the ceremony they decided to go to the local bar and drink to their wedded bliss. While at the bar, several friends purchased multiple rounds of shots for them and congratulating the newlywed couple. Tony and Michelle drank too much to the point, the bartender Mikey, refused to serve both of them anymore drinks. An argument ensued and Tony pulled out a gun from his pocket and fired a single shot which grazed Mikey’s arm, ricocheted and killed Melinda, another bartender, who was standing behind Mikey. Tony grabbed Michelle and left the bar. The next day when they woke up, Michelle realized what Tony had done and insisted that he turned himself into the police. Tony drove to his friend Timmy’s apartment to hide the gun while Timmy was at work. Michelle decided she loved Tony too much to turn him in. She decided not to say anything to anyone and live happily ever after with Tony. Someone knocked on the door, when Michelle answered it, it was the bartender, Mickey. He begged Michelle to go to the police department and tell the police what happened. Michelle agreed to go with Mickey. While on the way to the police department with Mickey, Michelle had a change of heart and told Mickey, love conquers all and she could not tell the police what happened. Michelle took a hammer from her purse and began hitting Mickey in the head multiple times, the car went off the road in a ditch. When law enforcement, the fire department and the ambulance and emergency medical technicians arrived, Mickey was dead, and Michelle was passed out. When she awoke in the ambulance, she told the EMT she does not remember what happened, she had blacked out. Michelle and Tony were both arrested shortly thereafter. -

Islamophobia and Global Political Relations Western Narrativ…
Please revise and expand the current draft of the thesis titled Islamophobia and Global Political Relations: Western Narratives and Muslim Responses to approximately 5,8006,200 words, ensuring that all additions deepen the theoretical, analytical, and empirical quality of the work without adding repetition or filler content. Strengthen the International Relations dimension by adding a subsection in the Literature Review titled Islamophobia in International Relations Theory, integrating Constructivism (e.g., Wendt, Katzenstein), Securitization Theory (Buzan, Wver, de Wilde), and Soft Power Theory (Joseph Nye) to anchor the argument more firmly in IR scholarship. Expand the comparative right-wing political analysis beyond the Netherlands and Sweden to include France (lacit debates and hijab bans), Germany (AfD), Austria (FP), and Italy (Salvini), examining how economic insecurity, migration crises, and populist nationalism contribute to the institutional normalization of Islamophobia. Broaden the global scope by incorporating analytical discussion of China (Uyghur securitization), Myanmar (Rohingya crisis), and IndiaPakistan diplomatic tensions, focusing on implications for regional stability and foreign policy. Deepen the section on Muslim minority impacts by adding analysis of economic marginalization, labor market discrimination, intersectionality (including gendered Islamophobia), intergenerational identity formation, and social capital erosion, supported by empirical research. Expand the counterstrategies section by incorporating discussion of international organizations (UN, OIC, EU frameworks), digital counter-narratives and algorithmic bias, and education or curriculum reform grounded in peace education literature. Add a short Limitations and Directions for Future Research section addressing reliance on secondary sources, geographic scope limitations, and areas requiring further empirical investigation. Include at least 1015 additional recent academic sources (20202024) from peer-reviewed journals, academic books, and credible institutional reports, and ensure all citations follow APA 7 format. Maintain a formal academic tone, avoid repetition of theoretical definitions, ensure strong transitions between sections, and align all expansions with the central thesis that Islamophobia operates primarily as cultural violence that enables structural and direct harm while destabilizing Muslim minority integration and international relations. Most importantly, ensure there is absolutely no plagiarism: all paraphrasing must be fully original, no copied sentences may appear, all quotations must be properly cited, and the final draft must pass plagiarism detection software.

We have discussed the elements needed for a crime, actus rea and mens rea. But proving intent can be challenging. Getting into the mind of a person is difficult; how can you prove what the person was thinking or the intent at the time of the crime? Answer the following: 1) There are many cases in which an individual has been convicted on circumstantial evidence for the crime of murder. Find a recent (past 5 years) and local case in your home state in which a person has been found guilty of murder or a varied degree of homicide. Summarize the case in your main post. Indicate the reasons for the conviction. Was it based on physical or circumstantial evidence? What did the prosecutor use to prove the mental intent of the offender at the time of the crime? 2) Did the prosecution and/or the defense use legal technology in some way to aid in the development and/or presentation of their respective sides of the case? Was that use (if any) actually helpful in that case (or potentially, other similar cases)? If it was not helpful, explain why you think so. 3) Do you agree with the outcome of the case? Discuss why. -
