    Synthesis Paper Assignment Instructions

    You will research and complete a paper focused upon the following 5 seminal learning theorists: John Dewey, B.F. Skinner, Albert Bandura, Lev Vygotsky, and Jerome Bruner. Analyze and explain their theories and describe how their theories may or may not benefit certain types of individualized instruction, as presented in Read: Glatthorn, Boschee, Whitehead, & Boschee: Chapter 15, from p. 427 onward. In the paper, you will write a critical analysis that includes 3 parts: Analytical Review of Content, Personal Analysis of Content, and Application of Content to School or Work Setting. Key points, personal ideals, or applications in each section should be summarized effectively, well organized, and backed with cited research.

    The paper must be between 45 pages, excluding the title and reference pages, which are required. See the attached rubric for specific guidelines and writing expectations. Use proper APA format conventions (including in-text citations, a running head, page numbers, and organizational leveled headings).

    Preparing the Collaboration Caf

    Follow these guidelines when completing each component of the Collaboration Caf. Contact your course faculty if you have questions.

    General Instructions

    Consider the quality measures data currently analyzed at your practice location. If you do not have a current practice location, select a local healthcare facility or provider to answer the questions below.

    Include the following sections:

    1. Application of Course Knowledge: Answer all questions/criteria with explanations and detail.
    • As a nurse leader, what strategies can you implement to balance the cost of quality with client outcomes?
    • What metrics are used to measure the cost of quality?
    • The cost of quality can be a significant barrier to improving client outcomes in resource-limited settings. What innovative cost-saving strategies can be implemented to enhance quality care delivery in such settings?
    1. Engagement in Meaningful Dialogue: Engage peers by asking questions, and offering new insights, applications, perspectives, information, or implications for practice:

  • Create a Research Paper

    The source for the text in your research paper is in the file SC_WD_2-3.docx, located in the Week 3 Module. The goal is to organize the notes in the text file in the Data Files, rewording as necessary, so you can create a research paper. Using the concepts and techniques presented in class and the organized notes from the Data File, you can create and format a research paper according to the MLA documentation style (be sure to write an appropriate conclusion). While creating the paper, be sure to do the following:

    1. Modify the Normal style to the 12-point Times New Roman font.

    2. Adjust line spacing to double.

    3. Remove the space below (after) paragraphs.

    4. Update the Normal style to reflect the adjusted line and paragraph spacing.

    5. Insert an MLA-style header and page numbers in the header.

    6. Type the name and course information at the left margin. Use your name and course information. Center and type the title.

    7. Set a first-line indent to one-half inch for paragraphs in the body of the research paper.

    8. Type the body of the research paper from the notes. Change the bibliography style to MLA. As you insert citations, enter their source information. Edit the citations to conform to the MLA documentation style.

    9. At the end of the research paper text, press ENTER and then insert a page break so that the Works Cited page begins on a new page.

    The OLBI was developed as a measure of burnout, containing statements that cover both ends of the exhaustion-vigor and cynicism-dedication continua. The inventory has been extensively used in research to measure job and academic burnout.

    The subject is presented with a series of 16 statements and at the end of each there is a “Select” drop-down menu, from which they may select: strongly agree, agree, disagree, or strongly disagree (ignore the points after each option).
