Compare and Contrast The Four winds with another text
Write a 1250-to-1500-word essay comparing and contrasting one of the characters (based on what you have seen so far) in The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah to a similar character in a text of your choice (text here can mean a book, but also a movie, tv show, or similar media). The characters could be similar due to personality, family structure, choices, or circumstances. You should form an argument about what this comparison reveals to us about the character from The Four Winds, and your discussion should not be dominated by the other text (the text you chose). -
Peer feedback English Comp II
Peer-to-Peer Instructions: 1. Compare and contrast your historicity and experiences with the writing process and revision in the body of your response. Next, you will actually practice peer feedback after you read through your peer’s first draft annotated bibliography. Peer feedback should be offered in a 3-5 minute recorded video accompanying your written response. Your feedback should not merely focus on formatting or MLA issues though you can point them out: instead, I want your feedback to focus primarily upon evaluating the quality of their annotations (summary writing) and evaluating their chosen source materials.Attached Files (PDF/DOCX): Annotated Bibliography Drafts.docx

Case Assignment
Market Analysis: International Edition
We read about anti-trust investigations, markets controlled by a few big players and competitive industries in the United States. American textbooks are filled with examples and cases. For this assignment, economic market analysis will focus on a specific country. See the Course Data File for the mandatory Country focus. (see attachment, case 3 tab)
Using the modules readings and other research, based on the definition of monopoly, find a company or industry in the Target Country that can be defined as monopolistic (or meets many of the requirements). Describe the company/industry and relate how it meets the definition. Provide historical background as to why the country benefits from the monopolist status. (1 page) Research Required.
Select an industry in the Target Country that can be defined as oligopolistic (or meets many of the requirements). Include information on major companies. Describe the industry and relate how it meets the definition. Provide historical background as to why the country benefits from the oligopolist status. (1 page) Research Required.
Describe an industry in the Target Country that can be defined as competitive and relate how it meets the definition. Provide historical background as to why the country benefits from the competitive status. (1 page) Research Required.

Regression Analysis
ECON 705 Estimating Costs
1. Download the data file Estimating Cost Data. Assume this data represents total variable costs of production across 39 different weeks producing different levels of output.
2. Use TVC and Q to calculate AVC.
3. Use Microsoft Excels Regression tool to estimate an average variable cost function of the form AVC=a+bQ+cQ2. Be sure to note which variable is the dependent variable. If only Q is provided, make sure you create an additional column and calculate Q2. REMINDER: the independent variables should be located in adjacent columns so you can easily highlight the data as you enter it in the Regression dialog box. Based on the results:
a. Is the regression model statistically significant?
b. Write the estimated regression equation.
c. Are the coefficients statistically significant?
d. How large is the coefficient of determination (r2)?
e. How large is s?
f. How can the estimated AVC equation be converted to an estimated TVC equation?
g. If the current fixed cost of capital is $5,000, what is the TC equation?
4. Now consider an average variable cost function of the form AVC=a+bQ. Use Microsoft Excels Regression tool to estimate the equation. Based on the results:
a. Write the estimated regression equation.
b. Is the estimated slope coefficient statistically significant?
c. How large is the coefficient of determination (r2)?
d. How large is s?
e. Based on the results, which model provides a better fit?
