  • week 4 discussion hospital re admissions

Load one qualitative peer reviewed research article in pdf format that relates to your chosen topic from the picot assignment and my picot question chosen in week 3 (HOSPITAL RE ADMISSIONS). This correlates with the paper we did that had to do with the picot question nothing more. This article will be used again for my week 8 poster and is required to be approved.

    • Write your PICOT question. Discuss the qualitative nature and purpose of the study you have chosen. How do you know this is a qualitative study? What type of qualitative study is it? What is the purpose of the study?
    • Discuss the method of the study. How did the researchers collect the data? Is this method adequate to address the purpose of the study? What is the sample in the study, and is it appropriate, given the method?
    • Summarize the findings of the study. What is the projected significance of the study to nursing? What are the recommendations for future study?
    • References: Provide complete references for all citations. Include citations and a reference for the qualitative study you selected to address your PICOT question. Faculty will leave you feedback on whether your qualitative article is approved.
  • QUESTIONS ONLY TO A META ANALYSIS EXPERT (MEDICAL RESEARCH)

Question for the expert: Ive found that only SURPASS-CVOT and SURPASS-4 report the complete MACE endpoints, while the other SURPASS trials (17) do not consistently include all components. As a meta-analysis expert, what should I do if I currently have only two trials with complete MACE data? Can I still include the other SURPASS trials?

I also came across a meta-analysis that included one phase 2 trial, five international phase 3 trials, and one regional phase 3 trial in Japan, as long as each trial had at least one MACE-4 event. That approach fits their objective, but my goal is stricter: I want to include only studies that report all MACE-3 (or MACE-4) components. What is the best approach in my case?

  • Ethical failures and corruption in leadership and organizati…

In this essay assignment, you will explore this subject further by selecting at least two cases like those reviewed in this module to evaluate in greater depth. You may choose one case from this module, if you care to, and then another of your own choosing, one where an ethical dilemma or relationship can be identified and associated with corruption or bad judgement. If you are having difficulty selecting at least one more case to write about, contact your instructor. You should draw on materials widely available to you in the course as well as any credible and high-quality outside sources. Before beginning this essay assignment, make sure to read the Module Notes carefully and you will want to access the Readings, Viewings and Materials page for further review. Write an essay of approximately 500 words in length (approximately 2 pages of doubled-spaced and 12 point font of text) using APA format. In your essay, draw on as many significant examples as are appropriate while fully answering the following questions: What was the nature of the judgment that was corrupted in the ethical instances, decisions, or cases you examined? Describe the event as briefly as needed to get at the motivation of the key actors. What were the consequences of these breaches? For example, what public trust trespasses occurred and how consequential were they? Finally, how might the bad judgments you have evaluated have come out differently, what possible solutions to the corrupting factors can you identify? To successfully complete this assignment, you will need to organize your responses to the questions posed above, and then craft a formatted essay that includes each of the following: A title page; Well-developed introductory paragraph explaining the purpose of the essay and briefly referencing some of the main points/contentions offered in the work; The body of the assignment should consist of your effort to best answer the primary questions from the assignment prompt and should consist of approximately 500 words of text (approximately 2 pages of double-spaced and 12 point font of text). Though the method by which this is done is largely up to you, it is essential that the responses to the questions in the prompt be based upon scholarly readings and should remain at all times defensible (in an academic sense). You have a great deal of information to draw from in creating your essay, including the assigned and optional readings as well as many references in the module notes. As is the case with every assignment in BNS301, presenting any unsubstantiated, illogical, or indefensible position will have an adverse effect on the final grade. Please direct any questions regarding these expectations to the instructor; A concise concluding paragraph that briefly restates both the purpose of the essay as well as some of the primary argument offered by you, the papers author. Be sure the concluding paragraph does not introduce new information; Required Reading: Module Notes: Ethical Failures in Leaders and Organizations Bond, J. (2007). • Assignment 2: Term Paper Part II: Conference Proposal for We…

You will now continue the work you began in Week 1. Be sure to first implement any feedback from your instructor. Remember, your Week 4 paper in this course will focus on a topic within one of three broad areas of social research:

    • Inequalities in Education
    • Inequalities at Work
    • Health Inequalities

In Week 4, you will be writing the final paper as if it is a well-sourced speech that you are giving to an academic conference hosted by National University. This week, you will propose the conference! Here are the specific requirements for this paper:

    1. Create the document as an approximately one-page flyer for the conference.
    2. The flyer should have the conferences title at the top of the paper. Example titles could be:
    3. Re-Imagining Gender in the Workplace
    4. The Fight for Racial Equality in Higher Education
    5. Providing Better Healthcare to Working Class Americans
    6. Write approximately 300 words describing why the theme implied in the title is particularly relevant in contemporary America. Cite at two terms/concepts from your course readings that correspond to the title and theme you selected for the conference to persuade the reader to attend.
    7. Place your name in the flyer and list yourself as the keynote speaker! Under your name, give the title for your speech, which should correspond to the conference title and theme you selected. For example, if your conference title were to be Re-Imaging Gender in the Workplace, your specific presentation will be a narrower topic within that, such as Examining the Relationship Between Family Obligations and Womens Opportunities for Tenure and Promotion.
    8. Under the title for your talk, give a description of your speech of approximately 450 words. In the description, include key data on the issue that justifies your selection of the topic. You should use our textbook or peer-reviewed research on the subject and include at least two citations. You should also include a reflection on how your topic has been discussed in politics and the public sphere in recent times to further highlight its relevance.

  • Discussion 5: Class Conflict in the Contemporary U.S.

Marx argued that class conflict was a constituent element of modern life in Western societies. He claimed that capitalism was inherently unfair as the bourgeoise used their economic and political power to shape laws and institutions in a way that kept them in near total control of society, at the expense of the proletariat. This would continue, he argued, unless the proletariat developed class consciousness and decided to ban together to change the social, economic, and political landscape through collective action.

Given what you read in Chapter 5 of the course textbook about how concentrated wealth is in the hands of such a small proportion of Americans, how do you view contemporary U.S. society through the lens of class conflict? Do you believe that the system is tilted in favor of the ultra-wealthy as Marx claimed? Do you believe that poor and working-class Americans will at some point put aside cultural and political differences in favor of a unified class consciousness? What would your solution be to remediate the problem of wealth inequality in the U.S.?
