Please choose one European country and research a major climate or environmental problem they face and/or some concrete things that country is doing to tackle climate change. You may include your opinion on/analysis of this country’s approach toward environmentalism/climate action but that should take up no more than about 1 paragraph.
1. You may choose any European country to research.
NOTE: Some students are interested in choosing Greenland. This IS NOT an acceptable choice for this project as it is a territory and not a nation state. It is important to choose an independent country so you can get a good sense of local politics/policy as they relate to climate change.
2. Your paper should be 3 pages long. NOTE: The Works Cited page DOES NOT count toward the required page count
3. Please use at least 3 sources in your paper and cite using MLA style/formatting (you can use more than 3).
NOTE: Brittanica, Statistica or other encyclopedia/dictionary source do not count as one of your sources. You may use these types of sources, and need to cite them properly, but they are not considered research-level academic sources. You may not use Wikipedia.
4. NOTE: Following MLA style, You MUST include citations within the body of the text AND in a works cited page. The citations within the text are brief and the works cited includes the full citation. Failure to include citations within the body of the text will result in an automatic C.
