Report Requirements:

  • Assume your team has been hired by the Company in your Project in order to assist the Company with
  • the issues outlined in their narrative. You are to write the report from the perspective of first-person

    plural or we. (e.g., WE have been hired by the Company to assist them with / We have put

    together the following results etc.)

  • Include the narrative in your report before providing the detailed explanation / results
  • The report has no target number of pages required, as long as you answer all that is asked of you in the
  • narrative.

  • Report should include:
  • o Cover page with all team members names, including the name for your team, as well as the

    name of the Company and the title of your report (based on the project)

    o Table of Contents

    o The narrative as given in the project

    o Issues and explanations, definitions, charts, formula, etc. as part of your answers

    Example: definition of operating leverage

    Your calculation of operating leverage based on company information

    Interpretation of your results (what does your answer indicate)

    o Conclusion, including a follow up paragraph including how the team can be contacted (ok to

    use fictitious emails and phone numbers)

  • Formatting:
  • o Single spacing (no double spacing necessary)

    o Include a header and a footer

    o Include titles and subtitles

    o Use graphs, pictures, tables, schedules, appendix, definitions, etc.

    o Check for spelling typos and other obvious errors

    o For monetary values, include a $ sign and round numbers a full dollar (no cents necessary)

    o For other numbers include the explanation as to what they represent (e.g., units, machine

    hours, direct labor hours, yards, feet, gallons, etc.)

    o Stay consistent with your selections throughout the entire report

    Slides Recommendations:

  • Put together a ppt slides based on your report to assist reader in walking us through your project,
  • Pick a theme for the slides and stick with the same theme throughout
  • Try not to overload the slides with too much text
  • Use bullet points and organize the data into tables/graphs/separate boxes
  • You may include who we are page, definitions page and/or table of contents page
