This part of your project will reflect on the observations you made during your time with the child that you observed. Use your notes you took during the three hours of observations. This summary should include the following info:
- Age of child (years & months)
- Stage of cognitive development
- 2 goals for that stage can be found on the Piaget chart that we have made in this course
- 3 domains (physical, cognitive, and social/emotional domains) clearly defined and described for the stage of cognitive development that you observed.
- 3 typical milestones or characteristics identified in each domain for the stage of development of the child that you observed. You should be able to identify the characteristic and give an example of the characteristic that you observed (total of 9 – 3 milestones for each of the 3 domains)
Tell me about the child, his/her info that you will put into the ppt in Part 3, the artifacts you have for documentation for the stage of development (photos, copies of art work, writing samples, types of play you observed…etc. etc. These artifacts will vary for each of you.
Summarize your notes to give me the general ideas you’ll be using to build your ppt. That’s the purpose – using this summary to help build your ppt. HOWEVER, you should not use your notes to copy and paste into the ppt. Follow the rubric.
You should write this assignment in in APA student paper format. It should be 1 – 2 pages double spaced, 12 pt Times New Roman font.
