Ethics is a branch of philosophy that is related to how we ought to live or what it means to live a Good Life. However, before we start ethics, learners must review what philosophy means, how philosophical literature is analyzed, and how arguments are formed. This will be the bulk of the next five weeks. Remember, you must demonstrate a good understanding of the reading, and as this is a 300 course, you must paraphrase your source(s) with in-text citations while refraining from direct quoting. Lets jump in!
- Why is it essential for one to examine their beliefs?
- Socrates believes that doing the right thing is doing what is best for you? Do you agree?
- Would you choose to enter and remain in the experience machine? Why/why not?
- How can philosophical contemplation help you in nursing? Pose a question to the class related to the weekly material.
