1969 Stonewall Uprising –

Stonewall Uprising explores the dramatic events that launched a worldwide civil rights movement. When police raided a Mafia-run gay bar in Greenwich Village, the Stonewall Inn, on June 28, 1969, gay men and women did something they had not done beforethey fought back. As the streets of New York erupted into violent protests and street demonstrations, the collective anger announced that the gay rights movement had arrived.

INSTRUCTIONS:

After viewing the film below, complete the quiz and three paragraphs as detailed below.

STEP #1: GATHER INFORMATION FROM THE VIDEO PROVIDED

STEP #2: CREATE QUIZ & IDENTIFY CORRECT OPTION

  • Quiz Requirements:
    • (1) Must contain 25 Multiple Choice questions. (Though feel free to add more if you wish)

  2. One paragraph answering – “In your opinion, WHY (X2) should students be made more aware of what you found and WHY?
    • IE – State two aspects you believe students should be made more aware of and why? (Try to avoid using the answer “Because its interesting” or “Because I didn’t know that before,” Must include a “Time stamp” indicating WHERE in the film the example is discussed.
  3. One paragraph answering – “In your opinion, WHAT are the strengths and weaknesses of the film & WHY?”
    • TO BE CLEAR: I am asking about your opinions on the film. As students you must see a variety of videos. I am curious as to your opinions on the film’s strengths and weaknesses. IE – How well did it “hold your attention,” WHAT did you think of “the pace of the film?” WHAT score would you give it on a scale of 1-10 & WHY? etc.
    • Be sure to try and use specific examples to help explain.Must include a “Time stamp” indicating WHERE in the film the example is discussed.
