You will prepare and present a presentation as if you are the Director of Quality Improvement for a healthcare organization. This presentation should be tailored to a Board of Directors and stakeholder audience. You will discuss the domain you selected from the PFCC tool and your proposed strategy for addressing this quality or safety deficit. It is recommended that you reference and incorporate information from Parts 1-3 of this project you have already completed most of the work!
Your professional presentation should:
- Discuss yourself and your role at the organization.
- Describe the organization you focused on for this project size, type, location, etc.
- Explain the PFCC tool and how you used it to analyze your organizations strengths and weaknesses.
- Provide a brief overview of your proposed strategic plan, including the approach/method, evaluation plan, and how you will report your findings to the Board of Directors.
- Discuss your multidisciplinary team and defend your need for these staff members as well as the financial resources that you anticipate needing (if any).
- Describe how your strategic plan will impact quality and safety within the organization.
- Discuss the domain you identified for improvement, including the possible implications if this category is not addressed.
- Describe how quality improvement initiatives such as your strategic plan allow organizations to embrace a safety/just culture and work to achieve zero harm for patients and staff members.
