Part 1: Case Study Analysis
Read the Case Study at the end of Chapter 27 in the textbook. Imagine you are leading the investigative team and will be responsible for presenting the key findings to the hospitals upper management team. Using what you have learned from the topic Resources and your own research, utilize the Case Study Analysis Outline to make notes about the key talking points you will present related to each listed.
Part 2: GoReact Video Presentation
Using the notes from Part 1, outline and practice the presentation you will give to upper management. In a 3-5 minute video you will record through GoReact by using the screen share function, address the following. You must have your camera on during the narrated presentation.
- Explain the basic requirements for a hospital to help finance the purchase of an EHR system by a provider.
- Discuss whether the proposed course of action would be permissible under current fraud and abuse regulations. Describe steps the parties would need to take to make the transaction compliant if it is not.
- Explain common issues related to the use of EHR and health care fraud.
- Discuss how the proposed new EHR could potentially facilitate health care frau
For this assignment, you will be assessed on:
- Content knowledge
- Executive presence and presentation skills, including body language, eye contact, evidence of preparation, clear articulation, and adherence to the 5-7 minute time limit
Part 3: Reflection
