You are required to search to identify, summarize, and critique a rather recent research paper (preferably less than 5 years, no more than 10 years) on the subject of Lower Extremity Injury Biomechanics. The source could be a journal article, a conference proceedings paper, a technical report, or an article in a technical magazine, or on the internet. The topic of the paper could be on any aspect of Injury Biomechanics in a particular impact direction, injury biomechanics research on particular human body part(s); experimental testing of human cadavers, crash test dummies or volunteers; dummy or safety systems design and development; mathematical or computer modeling of human/dummy dynamic responses of the body part(s) in the stated crash environment; or in general any aspect of crash safety research related to that loading direction or body part injury biomechanics. Submit a report electronically summarizing the research paper in your own words, and make sure that you include the following in your summary report:
It is also important that you describe in your report the way the research paper relates to the material you have studied in this course (25 pts). If in your view, there are any shortcoming of the paper, include those in your summary report. Your report should not be longer than 3 pages (single-spaced, 12-point font).
