Long-term effects of ketogenic diets on gut microbiome and m…

Ive been diving deep into the Keto diet lately, but Im getting a bit worried about the long-term impact on gut health. Since the diet is so restrictive on fiber-rich carbs, Im curious about how it actually changes the gut microbiome over time specifically regarding the diversity of beneficial bacteria.

Also, does a high fat intake interfere with the absorption of certain micronutrients, or perhaps enhance others? Id really appreciate a breakdown of the current research on this, especially any potential ‘red flags’ I should watch out for if I stay on it for more than six months. Looking for a nuanced answer rather than just a basic ‘pros and cons’ list. Thanks a lot!
