Purpose
This assessment uses the same information and topic you have written about in assessment 3. It is designed to give you practice in completing a poster or powerpoint presentation of your topic. This will include summarising all your evidence and audit activity (eventually including results). Posters are very useful when presenting to time poor colleagues and will help you to extract the crucial information for practitioners and work to convince them to help undertake your audit.
Task details
This poster is largely hypothetical, as you will not have undertaken your audit before the end of semester and be able to show results. For this assessment, you will design a poster which is a visual and textual representation of the process of your audit. There are poster templates within this Assessment tile section for you to use.
Instructions
Your poster should include the following headings and content:
- Title, author with the LTU logo.
- Introduction of clinical issue: outline the clinical issue or best practice being discussed and the name of the chosen National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standard your audit will be addressing.
- Statement of literature review outcome and your clinical bottom line.
- Five stages of the Clinical Audit Cycle (pictorial or flow chart representation if desired).
- A brief explanation (a sentence on your poster) of how each point in the cycle is achieved or planned. Then please add your explanation of each stage on a second slide, no more than 250 words per stage. This really gives a few details of what you would speak about when presenting your poster.
- Reference list.
You must ensure you reference using APA7 referencing.
If you are doing a PowerPoint show, make a slide for each section above, please include a paragraph about each section in the notes section of the template. The template has lots of ideas about how to present, but please make sure you add graphics and pictures that suit your topic.
